I am usually listening to the news or music on the radio, so I'll do that. Sometimes, if I need something out of my purse, I wait until I stop at a light to get it - safer than while driving.

Tap my fingers on the steering wheel, while waiting for the light to change. Sometimes I look at the people in the cars around me.

Generally I look back and forth from my light to the light on the cross street. It drives me INSANE when the light turns green yet the person in front of you isn't paying attention and sits there.

If I have friends with me, we all get out and run around my car, and all get back in, usually the other direction is turning yellow by the time we get back in, or sit there until it turns green and if it's a 2 lane, someone next to me, I drag race them, make them eat my dust, and I win with my quick fast BMW..
