I agree with the death penalty in cases for the worst murderers however in other cases I support life without parole as an option for most cases of first degree murder. However it seems like texas executes over 30 people a year isnt it too much considering states like north carolina, florida, and georgia that have high death penalty rates only executes 3-5 inmates a year.

I was hired at $8/hour to be a part time cashier. I am a 33 year old stay at home Mom who wants a little extra money. I have my MBA and ten years management experience. I was interviewed by the store manager (who is no longer there) and was clear that I only wanted to be a cashier. Over the past few months, they have turned me into the evening cashier. I've gone from my 15-22 hour work week to an average of 30. I have managers keys, and all the responsibilties of a supervisor. I spoke with a new manager last night and he told me they informed him I was a supervisor. Noone has spoken to me about this transition.

The plan:
1. Ask for a raise to $12 an hour.
2. If they say no, I will explain that I accepted $8 as a cashier and from this point forward that is all I will do.
3. If they give me grief about that, I plan to turn in my two week notice.

Do you think I'm right? Am I doing the right thing? Any suggestions would be appreciated....

I have been fighting this certain sin for quite a while now. I used to have a problem with it before I was saved, then it went away and now that I am a Christian it is trying to attack me like crazy. I feel like I am in a constant cycle of commiting the sin and repenting and then commiting the sin again. I am to the point where if I don't commit this sin, my mind tries to come up with reasons that I should and I pray to God for help with tempation, but eventually I give in. God has made it so that this sin no longer appeals to me, but for some reason I still do it. What is wrong with me? Does this happen to many Christians and how can I fix it?

In our office we use the same main door to get into our places of biz and my neighbor has put a plate of fresh fruits and vegs and a glass of water on the floor in the hallway.I ask her if it was hers and she said yes and leave it there.Its been there 3 days so far.She is of asian decent .I find it strange to have patients walk past this plate to go in my office.I dont want a fight so what do u think she is doing?

I live in Florida and am driving to Tennessee (in the mountains) in January and I know I will run into ice. I was thinking about investing into some tire chains or anything else that you can put on the tire to increase traction. There will be some minor hills... Do tire chains really work?
