Nope, it was in the newspaper here and it was just a story, no big deal.

No, whether you are a good person or not is irrelevant. The fact that he is an illegal and should not be allowed to stay.

My favourite bit was "Estrada said, and his actions should remind people not to quickly characterize illegal immigrants as criminals." If you brake the law you are a criminal. He should have said that not all illegal immigrants are bad people.

No, I never thought they were monsters. Who'd leave a 9 year old kid alone in the desert with his mother's corpse?

I think it was a nice thing to do, but I'm sure illegal immigrants regularly do nice things, as do we all. That isn't the only qualification for immigration, however.

Not at all. One man doing the right thing is no justification for millions of illegals.

no DAR unfortunatly its not.but alot of posts i read here say they are all rapists theives and murderers.which is not true.this proves they do have a heart and know what is morally right to do even if they break our law and come in illegally.

Absolutly not.

What this man did was a ggreat thing, but he is still a criminal.

We should all send him a thnak you card, to MEXICO where he belongs!

If it was a murderer or rapist should we just let him off? NO!

This man, while doing a great thing for that boy, is still an ILLEGAL INVADER!

No. I see this as one human being helping another, and I'm glad this child had someone to comfort him. Just because I want to see the laws of my country enforced, does not mean that I think all illegal aliens are murderers and bank robbers. My concern with illegal immigration is not the individuals, but rather with our inability to account for who is or isn't within our borders. Of course some are decent people, just as some aren't. Its the not knowing that is the problem. What if it was one of the criminal element that happened upon this boy? The story could have had a very different ending. I'm very thankful that this man was a kind soul who was able to help.

There are good people coming, and, bad....

There was surely an angel there somewhere watching over that poor boy. My heart breaks for this poor child to witness such an event and consequently lose his mother.

May God bless him every day of his life.

It proves that there are people with good hearts. This young man will find his way in life. But, starting out as an illegal is not the way to success.

Nope.... even if a crimminal helps an old lady cross the street after robbing the bank doesn't make him any less of a crimminal. No one said they were all bad people to the core. They did however choose to break our laws and become crimminals.

No.

I don't want illegals in this country but I would still help a little illegal alien child who was in danger. That's only common decency and in MY OPINION any adult who could have helped but CHOSE not to help this little child should be punished severely!

Now I know about Americans who have done good deeds while in Mexico. Would that good deed allow them to become Mexican citizens as well so they could own land and have other benefits that Mexican citizens enjoy? Not under Mexican law!
