I gave my employer a 2 week notice because I was offered a better paying job. The next day my employer contacted me and told me that I "did not have to return" to work because I had accepted a job with a competitor. Even though that job was not due to begin for another 3 weeks. Am I owed that last 2 weeks of pay? Should I file for unemployment benefits?

With reference to the Cherokee Nation in Northern GA during the years preceeding the Trail of Tears. The Supreme Court ruled that Cherokees did not have to follow Georgia law- this has to be backed up in the constitution somewhere! Where in the constitution does it state this?

I have heard that on the news in Australia, "Ho ho ho" is no longer acceptable because it is degrading to women.

I have also heard many people throw words around like "You're gay".

An NBA coach called some girls "Hoes" and later explained that "There's a difference between bitches and hoes. Hoes is a good thing".

Why is it a bad thing to explain our differences, such as "Black and Asian people have better rhythm"?

Let me know what you all think--too PC or not enough? If you have any research, please list that as well--I am considering this as a speech assignment.

I went to oxygen.com typed in my zip code (Las Vegas- Pacific Time/ Cox Comm.) and it said channel 55. Well that's what channel it USED to be on up until a couple of days ago, now it's HGTV??? What is that??? I scanned ALL the channels for oh! and found nothing!! Where oh where, did it go????????

2005 Honda civic with 46000 miles on it and the original tires (bridgestone 15") which are worn but not down to the treadwear bars. It has always made sort of a very low growling sound. You can shut the engine off and it will still make the noise. I have noticed it getting considerably louder recently. I am pretty sure its not a wheel bearing since turns make no difference.

If I apply the brakes it sligthly dampens the sound but otherwise the noise is completely dependent upon vehicle speed. Also it has a manual transmission FWD with all of the scheduled maintenance done on it.

So lets hear it......pinion bearing or something similar, or just plain old tires?

ok heres the deal. i have a choice between either getting the PS3 of XBOX 360 for christmas and i wanna kno which one i should get (meaing which one is better) I currently have a PS2 but only three games for it
Ive heard that the PS3 is a scam and that even though it looks good, it isnt really all that (even though internet is free and stuff like that while XBOX LIVE cost something...) I'm 15 years old.
I'm going to make this short since I have to go eat dinner so if you have any questions just ask and I will add details later.
Could I be diagnosed with ADD/ADHD at this age?
Symptoms:
*can't concintrate for long
*don't remember anything i studied for [example: last night studied for 3.5 hours for my english test today....when i got the test i blanked EVERYTHING...this happens in every test]
*lately having trouble falling asleep because I always have to move around
* always twitching/restless legs
* always have to have things moving fast

What can these mean???

Also my mom and I talked about getting tested for ADD/ADHD....what do they do when they test you?
And she is also afraid the medicine will cause harm to my body...ist this true??
