I'm writing a short story (Please don't give me specific ideas. It's not what I need). Sometimes when writing short stories, I get stuck on what to really write about (I'm more of a novelist than a short story writer).

So, what are some good, mature morals. Not little kid ones, like "Growing up isn't so bad." "Responsibility" and so on. No religious ones either, like "God Is Great" "Jesus Saved Us For Our Sins".

I just need a broad, mature morals, such as "Death Is Something You'll Have To Cope With" or "Appearance Really DOES Count", things like that.

Thanks all!

Sister Mary entered the Monastery of Silence. The Priest said: "Sister, this is a silent monastery. You are welcome here as long as you'd like to stay but you may not speak until I direct you to do so."

Sister Mary lived in the monastery for 6 years before the Priest said to her, "Sister Mary Katherine, you've been here for 6 years now. You may speak two words."
Sister Mary said, "Hard bed."
"I'm sorry to hear that." the Priest said, "We will get you a better bed."

After another 6 years, Sister Mary was called by the Priest. "You may say another two words, Sister Mary .

"Cold food," said Sister Mary and the Priest assured her that the food would be better in the future.

On her 18th anniversary at the monastery, the Priest again called Sister Mary into his office. "You may say two words today."
"I quit." said Sister Mary

"It's probably best.", said the Priest, "You've done nothing but b!tch since you got here

Can someone assist with locating this data?
Thanks

If they do anything like they normally do they will most likely trade that pick and end up with a couple more 1st rounders over th next couple of years. The 49ers could actually end up with #1 overall as well, but I doubt it. If they did would the Pats take McFadden anyways?

Isn't it funny how they lose their pick, but they have the 49ers and will end up with a top 5 pick this year anyways? lol

I find it difficult to picture, I mean it's already down your throat. does it slide backwards or does it curl and you swallow it from the tip or what? It just hapened to the Austria goalkeeper that's why I'm thinking of it.

Hi all! This seems like it would be simple enough to solve, but I just can't find a hobby! I am a new mom, to a 4 month old. I am used to working full time, but working is NOT an option right now. I am not used to being in the house this much, and I would LOVE to get into a hobby. All I do is chores around the house, and take care of my baby. Then when he is napping, I hop in the shower, get dressed, and then bam I am bored. I am soooo sick of the TV, reading , and the computer. I would love to do something creative, yet affordable. I did a lot of scrapbooking and that was sooo fun, but buying all the supplies costs way too much money when you are not working, and raising a baby. So, my question is, what is a good hobby, that doesn't cost a lot to maintain, is easy to put down at the drop of a hat (or cry, lol), and can be done at home? Any ideas?

I am refering to this question.

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071116113100AAXQJbc&cp=1

Only a handfull saw that 1+1 CAN equal 1. I was refering to boolean algebra, but it was good to see that some came up with other explanations too. That is what I was hoping for.

This question was meant to show one thing, some of you really do not have an open mind. Why do I want to show this? Because it is hard to sit back and watch you accuse others of doing something you are guilty of. You may ask, why didn't I direct this question towards Christians...well, quite honestly I don't see many of them claiming to be open minded...and if I am being really honest, I don't think most of them are. But I do think atheists should be if they make the claims that they in fact are open minded.

Now my question is to those that flat out told me I was wrong, stupid, a moron, or any other negative remark.

Do you admit that you have some work to do on opening your mind?

I drove pass a Jehovah Witness Hall today and saw about 15 neighborhood dogs standing in front of the hall's doors, this looked really scary any mysterious. These were different dogs from all around the neighborhood. What could possibly have attracted these dogs to this Hall. There were no cars there and it was at 7am today. This was very wierd and I would like to know if there could possibly have been some type of connection or something that I dont know about. I am not a Jehovah's Witness but am very curious and need serious answers only please.
