Not specifically, but it *does* specify which types of animals are "clean" (OK to touch or eat) and "unclean", and so one can extrapolate that no unclean animals would have been kept as pets.

Clean (a pretty exhaustive list):
birds (generally, all non-raptors)
cud-chewing split-hooved mammals
scaly fish
insects from the grasshopper family

As you can see, "traditional" pets (excepting tropical fish) all come under the category of "unclean". Dogs and cats certainly were unclean. Dogs

seem to have been known to the early Jews, and even owned by them (Exo 22:31). However, considering the prohibition, it must have been difficult to raise them and remain "clean". Of course, as we see in Jesus' time, the "unwashed masses" were generally looked down upon as "unclean" by the priestly and noble classes, who could well afford to abide by all the dictates of the Law. Likely in these early times, dog-raisers were also held in low regard.

The is a place in the gospels where a gentile woman is asking for a miracle and Christ says it not good to throw the children's bread to the dogs and she goes on to say even the dogs wait for the crumbs that fall from their masters table and HE granted her request.

i do not think the Bible respects animals. God killed millions during the great flood. If God didn't like the humans, he should have killed only humans. Why did so many animals have to die. So I am not sure if the Bible is very "pet" friendly.

i have not as yet read a passage in the bible in regards to pets although that does not mean there is not one. I do think that god would be please for us to keep pets as he created the animals also and meant for the human race to love and care for them

I can't recall much, but they do refer to dogs being under the table cleaning up the crumbs.
