Each nucleotide triplet set codes for a particular amino acid (or else tells the copier to start or stop), so it's called a 'codon'. It's often the case that the first two nucleotides are the key ones, because the third one may sometimes vary without changing the AA that's being coded for. That's one of the cool 'fail-safes' in the genetic code.

this is some badly worded question ... no need for the word nitrogen and its called nucleotide bases or nitrogenous bases
