Ok, yesterday- to my shame, I said the Russian Mi-24 HIND helicopter could fly without rotating its main rotor - and by pitching the rotor's propellers against the direction of movement, thus effectively working like an airplane's wings. Also the pilot can vector downwards the turbine's engines, giving it partial lift. It was a joke, but some guy got really worked up by it, So anybody who understands a helicopter rotor will know that even in a fully articulated rotor system, you can not have a wing effect.

when there is a problem, Helicopters can to a limited extent -glide without power by using the momentum in the rotors, while using downward motion to force air through them. The main rotor acts like a windmill and turns. This technique is known as autorotation. A transmission connects the main rotor to the tail rotor so that all flight controls are available after engine failure. Autorotation can allow a pilot to make an emergency landing. But do you know of any bigger myths?

When someone tells a Christian that their bible is a book of mythology, they take offense to it. If I told you I believed in Greek gods, like Zeus and Hera, you'd refer to it as mythology.

What makes the bible better than everyone else's stories?

And don't say "because the bible is the truth" because that's a total cop-out.

Just wanting to ask what tattoos you guys/girls have, where they are and what they mean to you?

I think tattoos that are a bit of a story board of your life and it's milestones make you really unique (as opposed to the generic Asian characters/symbols etc).

SO. What are your stories???

I have:

A crash cymbal symbol in the back of my neck (it's drum kit musical notation) because playing the drums is my LIFE. It's a serious passion that I could never part with.

A cartoon zombie rabbit on my inner left ankle for my pet rabbit who is like a son to me... love him very much (he acts like a puppy dog, very cute!).

A chicken standing on a star on my right shoulder blade. This is for my sister/best friend who I love a lot and call "Chicken". It's a cute line drawring based on my favourite board game form when I was child. The star is based on a Hollywood star and symbolises her ambition to be an actress/singer.

(Oh, and I designed/drew all of my tatts myself.)

I am 16years old, weigh 110lbs and am about 5'4. I’m about to buy a bike but am not quite sure what to purchase. I know i should start with a 250cc but I hate the way it looks. I’m looking for something that looks like the 650r that can also be suitable for my physic. I heard that you shouldn't get your hair cut while pregnant.... i got mine cut when I was pregnant because it was way too long and damaged and I wanted it to be fresh and healthy for having a new baby. It was down to my butt before and got it cut almost to my shoulders and got it layered. I didn't regret it, i liked it!

I inserted the disk into my iMac slot(not tray) I inserted it the wright way too, it won't play. I guess it was dirty or something and then I tried to eject it and it won't eject. I pressed the button and tried Apple E and it won't go. Worst of all now the DVD icon isn't there and thinks there is nothing there. I went to applications and disk utility and all it does is want to try to read the disk, and won't give me to option of ejecting it. What should I do?

I unable understand one thing from our beloved fans. I pray for them. They will seen lot of Indian team victories in near future. Because I am always says something with cricketing brain. i am mexican but i was born in america but for some reason i dont know how to speak in spanish anymore i uderstand it and read it but i cant say anything in a complete sentence. sometimes i would just be talking sorta in spanish and then i dont know how to say the work in spanish so i say it in english. is this bad that i dont know how to talk in spainsh and im mexican or is this normal?? and in my house we always talkin spanish . the only one that speaks english more is me
