Maybe I just get too hung up about it... but it can get a bit awkward at times when you buy something at a shop, you have your bag over your shoulder, your wallet in one hand, then the person behind the counter puts the notes, coins and receipt in your other hand.
You fumble to get the coins in the right section of your wallet, then the notes, and there are people behind you waiting. Not wanting to hold them up, you walk over to the side somewhere holding money and wallet, then stuff everything in as fast as possible and fix it up later.
That or just throw all the notes and money randomly in your bag and don't bother about putting it in your wallet.
Why... why is it all so awkward? Is there some proper way to handle the change that the employee gives you?
I feel like I'm holding people up if I try to put it all in the right place. And I feel a bit silly walking around with money and wallet and everything else in my hand or just chucking it in my bag.
