The font used depends on the published version and there are several versions of Harry Potter. Usually at either the back or the front of the book it says what font has been used so have a check there. If there isn't anything then perhaps you could get in touch with the publisher and ask them

if you mean the Title, idk. It was probably created just for the books.
The actual text however, if you're reading the hardback, scholastic version, is Adobe Garamond.
I know this because there's a whole page in the back devoted to it. It's all about how its based on the handwriting of some guy named Claude Garamond.
I always thought it was the weirdest thing that that whole page was devoted to the font because i haven't seen that done in any other book...

I think it says in the front of the book what type of lettering it is in.
I will go look, It says it is 65% fiber. Lol sorry, I don't think thats what you looking for. Do you have a writing program? You might be able to compare letters with that.
