it is for both it is how they tell what kind of infection or not and about the cells in the female when they do the pelvic exam. it is done evey time you have one no matter how old you are..that is if that is the test you are talking about.

I assume you are talking about a pap smear, and those are for women, virgin or not.

A pap smear is for a woman who is raped. And a woman who is raped is not a virgin. Therefore, a pap smear is for a non-virgin.
