I have been an anime fan for years and started watching anime at a young age, I have always had fantasies about living in the anime world and my faverite shows and I want to know if I am alone in the world or if there are others like me, I also want to know if maybe I have a problem

I'd be careful. You don't want to live in the fantasy world so much that you are unable to function well in the real world.
Fantasy can be an addiction and could get out of hand.
I can definately see where I'd get into it too much and very easily.

I am sure there are others like you. Things such as anime, and books, movies, music, and almost anything else you can think of are great ways to escape from everyday life. These are often meant to be outlets from the ordinary. At the same time, does it seem like an obsession? Do you concentrate more on your anime world than the real world?

I applaud the fact that you are able to look inside yourself and have the guts to find out of this is a problem before it becomes one. A lot of people would rather ignore something like this than believe it could possibly be a problem.

My suggestion would be to speak to a professional, even if it's only for one session. Or, ask your family doctor if they can refer you to someone. Chances are this is very normal, but there is no harm in getting professional advice. And, even though we are all trying to help (including myself) there is no substitute for real, professional help. Please don't let an online community take the place of actual, solid support.

Best of luck to you!

Sounds like you need to start living in the real world. If you want to pursue a creative side of anime do that. That is more realistic than focusing on a fantasy.

You may be using it as a way to escape.

Fantasy is often a defense mechanism.

It isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it may become one.
