athiests are just normal people who happen to not believe in a deity
As for Jehovah's Witnesses, they celebrate things like anniversaries. They might accept gifts and cards at Christmas but will feel bad about it because they cannot give anything in return. instead, give them a gift on an ordinary day of the week just for being a great friend or on their wedding anniversary if they are married

Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood transfusions, it's against their religion to receive blood.
Jehovah Witnesses door-knock (so do some other groups), if you get a door knocker that is carrying "WatchTower" literature then you've got a Jehovah's Witnesses at your door.
Jehovah's Witnesses aren't supposed to celebrate birthdays.
Atheist don't have a religion, we don't believe in any god(s).
Atheists can celebrate anything they want to.

Jehovah Witnesses celebrate the death of Jesus. They also celebrate wedding anniversaries because Jesus attended a wedding.
I have learned on this site that there are many atheist who think they are superior to God. They repeat the same notions, from their atheist books.
Yet they believe they are superior, and free spirited, nobodys puppet.

No, Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate most holidays.
Jehovah's Witnesses are relatively unique among self-described Christians in that they understand the Scriptures to teach that God's Kingdom by Christ Jesus is a real government which will soon replace all earthly governments.
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
That Kingdom will rule over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”
(Acts 24:15) There is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
Until that resurrection, there is no suffering in "hell", or the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire
While a limitted number of humans will be resurrected to heaven to share in ruling over mankind, the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]
Interestingly, the Scriptures are full of references to this earthly hope.
(Psalms 37:11) 'the meek will possess the earth'
(Proverbs 2:21) 'upright will reside in the earth'
(Isaiah 45:18) 'God formed the earth to be inhabited'
(Matthew 5:5) 'the mild will inherit the earth'
(Revelation 21:3) The tent of God is with mankind

Different religions are just their interpretation on what they believe the Bible says. They, therefore, act accordingly. No, according to a co-worker of mine who is JW. She can't celebrate any holidays in any way, shape,or form w/o feeling they are contradicting/compromising their faith. An atheist as far as I know simply claims there is no such thing as God.

One correction of an above poster: Atheists do not have to "completely discount the possibility of the existence of a god or gods." - they just don't believe in god. As in, I don't believe in aliens, but I don't think they are impossible. Same goes with these gods things that people go on about.

Atheists do not believe in any god(s) at all. Also deny the reality of the supernatural and paranormal. It is NOT a religion.
JW's are a nut ball Christian sect. Google it.

Being atheist is wonderful. It's totally freeing, and allows you to define your own morality, which gives me even more conviction that I'm in the right, than if my morals came from a book.
