I organized our family reunion in my forties, a gathering of 84 people, passing out a packet of info. One sheet was divisions by age. I drew elders from 70. Funniest thing to me now at 60 is if I'm middle age, I would presume to live to 120.

I am considering joining the Air Force. Before I do, I need to know from people who are there, whether or not you think this is a good move. I just don't want to feel like I've wasted 4 years of my life, doing something that will not benefit me in the long run.

First of all, it seems like the USAF is mostly for people seeking a technical career. I want a degree in English and I am minoring in film. I know the Air Force will pay 100% for my education and also that they will give me money when I leave if I sign up for the GI bill. I need to know what field pays well when you leave and is in high demand and what jobs are good for women to succeed at after leaving, if you are only there for a short period of time. I may stay longer if I like it, Most people seem to enjoy it and benefit from it alot. I am currently 24, so when I get out, I'll be 28. Most people go straight out of highschool. Do you think this may be for me? I was going for financial and educational reasons.

My ex husband is in the military here in Texas. The court ordered he has to pay child support on the 1st and the 15th every month when he gets paid. The first 3 payments he mailed in to the state and the attorney general's office mailed me a check. I have signed up for direct deposit. My ex had a payment due on the 15th and he says that the military automatically took it out of his pay that day. How long does it take them to submit the payment? It's the 27th and the payment doesn't even show as received by the attorney general's website when I sign in to my case. Once they get it going better and smoother will it be taken out and then deposited into my account rather quickly?

Hello! and thanks for taking the time to read this.

After a couple of years of talking about how nice it would be to travel and exprience living abroad, my partner and I are seriously considering moving to America with our daughter.

We want to do things properly and not get carried away with the excitement of it all.

I just wondered if anyone else is considering this themselves or who has actually already made the move? If so, how have you found things? Where did you get your original information from for getting organised for such a move?

I would be very grateful for any tips or feedback from anyone who has any type of info/experience to share.

We have AT & T for long distance calling but rarely use it as it's free with our cell phones. We did not know if there is a legal requirement for land lines to maintain a long distance provider as well. Any idea?

Most women who call themselves feminists aren't really into feminism. They select the parts of it that they think are comfortable, easy, or empowering, and they usually reject the other parts of it, like man-hate and feminist-superiority talk.

The revised feminist handbook sounds like sweetness and light and reasonableness, all the nasties have been purged. It is now supposed to be all about real equality between men and women.

I'm a masculist and an equalist, believing that men and women are born different but equal, are of equal worth, and are deserving of fair treatment under just laws.

So if feminism and masculism now apparently all believe in the same thing why bother with them anymore? Why don't we now just consign them to history and join the equalist movement?

I think I have finished my birthing plan, it has a LOT of stuff on it. I Googled birth plan and used some sample ones for ideas...
Just want to make sure I didn't forget anything, so does anyone have any suggestions of things to put in that I may have forgotten? (I don't want to put the whole list up here)

Yes I know that not everything goes according to plan, I just want to make sure of some things, like some psycho nurse doesn't give my baby an artificial nipple of any kind...

I asked my gf for a break and realized she was the one for me so after only a week I started to call her back we finally met and had the most incredible day , we professed our love for each other and plannned on getting together in a month, 2 days later she called from her "new guys " house and said she's staying with him. I did the crazy calls and letters and then stopped I sent her some tickets for a up comming show and told her take her time to think about it its 3 weeks away yet, but now shes told me to stop calling her and writting her

DR is tring to induce me becaues of high blood pressure 158/103. Wed they tried cervidel, Thur and Fri pitocin drip. They gave me the max they could give, when the meds stopped the contractions stopped and no more progress. I am concerend about the risks to my baby, they want to start the process over on Monday any one have a similar stiuation or suggestions?

Just wanted to hear from some of you on how much grooming a Husky would cost?
I have never had to deal with a groomer since I have Dobermans & we don't have that need.
Considering taking in an abandoned Husky . I took her to a groomer today, picking her up in a short while & didn't even ask what the costs would be. Oh well she needs it badly so the $$$ will be well worth it.
What do you think I'll be charged?
Bathed, trim, comb out, ears cleaned & nails trimmed.

I need to temporarily uninstall a door room to allow entry of a piece of furniture to the room. However, the door has a built-in concealed door closer (http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?isSearch=true&fh_search=concealed+door+closer&selected=products).
If I unscrewed it from the door frame, probably I won't be able to install it again. Any idea how to uninstall then re-install such a door closer?

My dogs got fleas, I treated them with advantage (a groomer recommended this I always used frontline before but she said her costumers were complaining about it), but they still got into the house. I thought if I waited it out they'd go away. A couple of days later I bought the Hartz 3 in 1 spray, & sprayed the couch & curtains (my house is all hardwood flours). Well that didnt work so I bought a bomb (same brand) & after that still saw a few so I sprayed down everything & washed all stuffed animals & bed clothes. I check my dogs & the fleas were back! I retreated them & they still are on them! (Its only been a little over 2 weeks since the 1st treatment & a few days since the 2nd!) I don't care what I have to spend I want to get rid of them! I have a one year old daughter & they are biting her terribly! any recommendations? Keep in mind the baby though, it has to be safe for her.
