About three weeks after exposure there could be some presistent cold, night sweats, east infection that wouldnt go away, slight but consistent fever, swolen glands especially those on the neck, long term diarea, fatigue, weight loss, loss of apetite.
This could go on for about a month, two the most. After this is gone, there might be nothing for years and usually people stay healthy for a few years after becoming hiv poz. The few weeks after exposure symptoms show because that is when the viral load of the hiv virus in the blood is the highest. It is also considered that the person is very contagious at that point.
However, don't be mistaken that it will show on the most commonly used test then.
The Elisa test that tests HIV antibodies present in the blood cant detect them for about 4 weeks the least and 6 months the most. It takes some time until antibodies are formed thus there is a need for a 6 months window from exposure to taking the test in order for the results to be conclusive.
Back to early sypmtoms, you should also know that not everyone gets those imidiate symptoms and a lot that brush them off as a common cold.
I hope this helps!
Best of luck to ya!

Do you live a hazardous life style?
THat means do you share needles etc.
If you think you may have been exposed it is best to go see your doctor and get tested. Have them run a full series of tests so you can be sure nothing else is wrong.
Now by examing your question I must saydo you know the difference at HIV and AIDS?
AIDS is what happens after HIV has gone so far in your blood system. What the HIV antibodies do is they attack all the cells in your body that fight off hazardous infections and cause one to get very very ill. They determine if one has reached the stage of full blown AIDS but determining their cell counts. Once it gets so low someone is highly infected and has AIDS.
Mind you, the majority of those suffering with AIDS, do not die from the AIDS virus itself, they die from the infections that come with having no cells to fight them. IT could be penumonia, a staff infection and so on. There is alot of information on the internet and if you have any time, you shoudl research it. It is a very important disease to understand, because today more then ever the numbers are growing to am extremity in the USA and other places, and people do not even know they have been exposed or have it. I reccomed that each person get tested before having a new sexual partner and so on. It is a thing worth waiting for because It is better to know and be safe.
Best of luck to you!

You can go to the doctors or any hospital to get tested. Best results would be to go do it anonymously that way nobody will have that information if you should turn out to test positive.
HIV is the infections virus that leads to the actually disease of AIDS. HIV generally takes at least a few years to turn to aids as far as i know.
