Just wanted to hear from some of you on how much grooming a Husky would cost?
I have never had to deal with a groomer since I have Dobermans & we don't have that need.
Considering taking in an abandoned Husky . I took her to a groomer today, picking her up in a short while & didn't even ask what the costs would be. Oh well she needs it badly so the $$$ will be well worth it.
What do you think I'll be charged?
Bathed, trim, comb out, ears cleaned & nails trimmed.
Thanks!!!

I took my pom to a groomer. Basically all they did was brush him out and trim him a little and I got charged $65.
I only did it because I know the groomer and I wanted them to trim him up for show.
There wasn't much to trim or do.
He wasn't even bathed.

I can't ever see getting him timmed again and paying that much.
To me that is expensive.

I am guessing it will cost you around $40-65.

I work at a grooming shop part time and there we charge about $45 - $50 for a husky. This would include all that you mentioned in your question. Many husky owners will get the "shed treatment" and that costs an extra $15. Good luck with your new addition. I used to own a husky (my ex husband had before we married) He sure did have a lot of coat and we had to be brushed frequently. I always took him outside to brush him and he would let the neighborhood know it was brushing time by howling and whining the whole time I brushed him. LOL. I'm not sure if it was because he was feeling so good or because he didn't like it! ;)

I have a Lab/Shepherd mix and it costs me $60 to get him groomed. It may cost a little more depending on exactly how bad the dog was and/or how well she behaves. My dog for some reason, won't let us do it, he tries to bite us. But he never gives the groomer a problem. He actually is happy to go. Maybe they just know how to handle it better, since that is what they do. He hasn't been there in a while and his nails are getting quite long. I think I will treat him to a doggy day spa for Christmas!

Well when I use a groomer with My Golden's it usually runs me about 50 to 60 dollars each dog.
Now with a husky it may be a bit more seeing as how they have a much thicker fur and i t will take alot more work on the groomers part to really get the dog clean and brushed out.

Nice to see you here Dobie! :)

We were the cheapest groomer in town and we charged around $50 for a large breed + clip. If you just wanted a bath we charged $20 This all depends on how matted he is.

Well, I have a shih tzu and it costs me $35 for the works. The othe day, she had a full sized collie in there and I asked her how much it would be for that dog and she said about $50. The reason I mention the collie is I think the coat would be comparable and about the same amount of work. Good luck with your new dog!

I have a German shepherd and happened to call a groomer for pricing info. She quoted me 60 dollars based on the size of my dog. He's so well behaved I decided to save money and groom him myself.
