Hi,
I was watching Oprah yesterday and a man was married to three women, and they seemed to like it. Why? Have any of you been in that type of relationship and can you share your experience with it?

How is it misspelled? Look up the term if you don't understand it.

No, it isn't polygamy. Look up the term. I'm referring to men having multiple women. Polygamy refers to both. I'm only talking about men with multiple women. Don't criticize something unless you know what you are talking about; otherwise, you look stupid.

Polygamy, if its an accepted cultural lifestyle (ironically, polygamy is still widely practiced in certain parts of the the Western US, though its still very illegal), has its rewards for the women. More so than one who is not raised in such an environment might expect.
The policy is usually a man has multiple wives, and not a woman who has multiple husbands (though thats not unheard of).
Being raised in an environment where polygamy is rampant, these women do not understand (whether by chance or design) the reasons and limitations the rest of society has concerning marriage...between just 2 people (I am straight, but I believe in same-sex marriage without a doubt).
These rewards include but not limited to: shared housekeeping & child rearing duties. Probably the best quality is that the wives get to emotionally bond with one with each other; they become best friends, unrivaling sisters, or even quasi-wives to each other themselves...with all the endearing qualities of marriage, minus the male vs female differences and/or the financial headahces. In some cases, sex between just the wives becomes a norm, even though the women are all straight.
Remember, because a man has several wives and marriages, many through arrangements made by persons other than the man himself, he will not be emotionally invested in them as he would be if he had only one wife. Another factor that goes into polygamy, usually the 2nd, 3rd, so on...wives are usually married to the man at very young ages, early teens (or younger!), therefore they have not grown emotionally much since childhood, so they need guidance and parental support, that the other wives in their coummune environment give to the younger women in a sort of mentor/student/mother/daughter/sister/wife hybrid relationship.
Polygamy is a very complicated issue. If you are interested in more about it, I would suggest you research it, more carefully.

Hell no. I would not like anything like that, Although I have heard of it going on. I think it is immoral and disgusting. People need to give it up and live in Monogamy.
