Here is my dilemma. I am moving to the UK with my wife and kids who are British nationals and I am applying for the settlement visa. My family are already in the UK and are waiting for me there. We will be staying at her mother's house unfortunately for a short while until I find a job and our own house. I cannot apply for jobs as companies won't even look at me until I have a visa. I have the money for the visa and the airfare there and a little saved up. Not much money as I am supporting my family in the UK as well as myself here in TX. I don't want to apply for the visa and be turned down because I don't have enough assets. I am looking for a rough estimate on the amount of money needed so I know when to apply. I have looked everywhere for an answer and have been severly disappointed by the lack of information on this matter and any help is appreciated. Thank You

I am trying to understand God's personality. What makes him happy and mad. I can't understand praying. I think only a selfish tyrant would want you to pray to him. Just follow the commandments and make it like a philosophy. It seems to make more sense that way.

I have got my new work uniform and the trousers appear to have an internal "turn up" inside them that maybe if I snip apart will make them longer!! I dont want to have like perforations in the fabric though. Anyone know what to do?

are they the only cichlids that have blue and black stripes? i bought an assorted cichilds at petsmart and wasn't sure which one it is. it looks really close to the picture in the link but darker. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenyi_cichlid

The description at the store also said that it was south africa and it grows to 4-6''. What cichild do i have?

I have several large, thick lichen growing on my maple trees. I have no idea what kind they are but they're larger than dinner plates and a good 2" or more thick and somewhat cupped in shape. They're just beautiful. I've dried smaller ones, but these are so big. Is there any way to preserve them? Thank You!

I went to the doctor because I was having bad cramps along with an unusual pain that felt like was in the ovaries. The flow was heavy and I had a burning sensation during those few days. So the doctor gave me BC pills. Now that my mom knows about it, she is furious why the doctor gave me BC pills when I am not sexually active. Any thing that I can tell her so she would believe me? ...Even I am curious why she didn't give me something else.

I came home from work and there is a dead snake at the back door which looks like it has been attacked by a cat. It is black with a red belly and it looks like it is just a baby. I have two cats. One just ate and the other one I can't find at the moment, but that is not unusual. I called the vet and they said to look out for foaming at the mouth, unbalance and anything that doesn't look normal. If you have had any experience regarding snakes and cats could you please give me any information I should know. Also how long before the symptoms start and when can I be sure that the cats are fine?
