There are a few problems here..

1. Conservatives don't believe that people are born gay.

2. Conservatives don't believe that a gay gene could possibly exist. They'll believe all sorts of far fetched, supernatural tales but any scientific evidence that points in the direction of people being born gay = a conspiracy, lie, etc to them.

3. They don't believe in playing God.

4. In any case, they think that people are raised to be gay, their environment influences them to be gay or they simply just choose to be gay. So they wouldn't abort a gay child... they'd just raise it to be incredibly f-ed up in the head.

It has already been scientifically proven more than a decade ago that there are no gay genes. Even the gay community threw out the gay gene theory calling it a "fish story" and the "gene scam." So your question cannot be answered satisfactorily. Cheers.

I would rather have a gay couple raise them, it's better to have have a chance to live the life that to get rid of it before it even starts. Besides, this doesn't mean that the home isn't full of love. Just because they have a different view on life doesn't mean that they are horrible people.

Even if there were a "gay gene", the sin of homosexuality (like all sin) is an *action*, not an "orientation" or a desire. Obviously, the answer is no, as having a "gay gene" could not be interpreted as sinful.

Of course, true, obedient Christians do not want to kill homosexuals anyway. Paul makes it quite clear that reformed homosexuals are permitted to be Christians. Killing a homosexual - by abortion or execution - because of their homosexuality denies them the opportunity to obtain salvation.

Great question.

I will never be able to answer it, because I'm not a conservative, so I don't know what they would do.

Someone else that answered this question wondered when this became a real possiblity. Well, there are many gays that do not want to be gay. Some such people happened to be related. Therefore, it became a reasonable question to ask. (Obviously, gay people who don't mind being gay are related to other gay people in other instances.)

eventually they may control our genes without abortion but that technology is way off in the future and not worth considering at this point.

Interesting question. However, since conservatives follow the religionist line and think being gay is a choice, I doubt if you'd ever get any of them to believe sexual orientation is genetic in any case. Maybe you should send this question to Senator Craig.

why the heck did the concept of a "gay gene" become a real possible theory? if it was genetic it would be unchangeable, and people have changed.

and because it is changeable from all sexualities, every child desrves to live

unbelievable- even if there is a "gay gene'' as you say,it is not our right to take the life of anyone- if they came up with a "gene that would tell us if a child was susceptible to having sex before marriage, or be a murderer or thief, would we say that abortion is ok then- ABORTION is never ok!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NO, that is just sick, every life is precious to God. Even the life of one who lives in sin can be used to bless someones life including that of his parents, just think of what would be missing from this earth just because one life was not here. Each of us brings something wonderful and unique to every life we encounter.
