I have got my new work uniform and the trousers appear to have an internal "turn up" inside them that maybe if I snip apart will make them longer!! I dont want to have like perforations in the fabric though. Anyone know what to do?

You can snip it apart, but then you still have to turn under a little bit and re-sew it so you won't have a raw edge along the bottom. Also there will be a line where the old bottom used to be. It really isn't worth it.

If you're not sure what to do, don't even try. There are alterations shops everywhere, just go and ask them to let down the hem x amount; it won't be too expensive. You'll need to sew the hem back up after it's let down, and without proper knowledge of how to do that, you'll wreck the pants.
