are they the only cichlids that have blue and black stripes? i bought an assorted cichilds at petsmart and wasn't sure which one it is. it looks really close to the picture in the link but darker. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kenyi_cichlid

The description at the store also said that it was south africa and it grows to 4-6''. What cichild do i have?

Unfortunately, there are more than one cichlid that have the black and blue striping. Without a photo of your fish, it might be impossible to know which it is, because signs in stores (especially places like WalMart, Petco, and Petsmart) don't always have accurate information on even their more common species (particularly where adult size is concerned). If you're sure they were from South Africa (rather than South America) you could maybe limit your search to those cichlids from Lake Malawi:

ok it could also be a Colbat Blue Zebra Cichlid, or a Blue peacock Cichlid, or a Demasoni Cichlid. they can look a like at times so just read the info I give you. I this helps
