The purpose of the thread on tires is to increase their grip on the road. If you agree with this statement, then 1) why do drag racers use "slicks" (tires with no thread) and 2) why do brake linings have no thread?

When I'm swimming at the waterslide park it's like out of nowhere I've gotta pee, like really badly. Like most waterslide parks the bathrooms are far away by the entrance and I feel I can't hold it that long, to walk all the way over.

What do you do, if you've been in my situation?

I am doing a research papaer at the last minute and its very late so my brain isn't working right. There is a tool (and its name is at the tip of my tongue) the electrically measures the mass of an object. Is it an electric scale? Its a tool (kinda like a scale) were you place something on it and it gives you the mass. I know its an electric ____ and I'm going to feel like a complete idiot when I finally find what it is, but oh well. Help? lol

Well its a long story but i'll keep it short and sweet. Basically my friend stole her step dads car, he called the cops. She got caught. I didnt because i dropped myself off at home before they could find us. But she snitched on me and told her step dad i was driving. So he told my mom....Now my mom wont let me drive untill im 18.
What can i do to gain her trust back or change her mind?
i know it was a stupid thing to do so save me the lectures.

Is all the following normal?

My daughter is 15, 5'7'' and 127 pounds
Her pulse was 88
Her Blood pressure was 116/60
her vision is 20/70 on both eyes

it was a sports physical at the school, so all i have is the numbers, etc.. no chance to talk to doctor or anything...

Ellen truly believed she was doing the right thing by adopting the dog in the first place and when she realized that it might not work out she did a very good thing by trying to find the dog a better home. How many people would take the trouble to put the dog's interest first?. I think that when she first adopted the dog it was her intention to give Iggy the best possible home and that is what she did by giving it to the other family. They obviously could give it more and she wouldn't have done that if she could have looked after him better. Why did the agency approve her in the first place? They must have trusted her. Does anyone know if the agency screened her by coming to her house and inspecting where the dog was going to live? They would of known she had cats and if they had done a proper evaluation on Iggy they would have known he was not suitable for a home with cats and ended the adoption proceedings right there. If the agency failed to do that then THEY are in the wrong.

tonight there were some tornadoes in my area. ive always hated, HATED tornadoes....even the sound of the sirens send me over the edge...but tonight was different. we had to go to the basement and i literally thought my heart was going to pound out of my chest....i felt the veins in my arms swelling and i was crying uncontrollably. this only happend about 3-4 hours ago, but i still just feel uneasy and on the verge of crying still.....was this a panic attack?

My Christian friend said that: "Human are the superior kind of all kinds, because God created us, so we can treat other kinds (animals, insects, plants, etc.) whatever ways we like". He killed an ant. I said "the ants have feeling too just like we do when we get hurt. They have their own lives". He said "whether the ant has feeling or not, its existing has no meaning, because Christians have after life, and they don't. Simple as that!!". I'm not into any religious, but I don't think what he said is right. Can any Christians out there tell me if it's right or not?

i am really confused what colour should i choose for my bed room walls... My room is small and have low light. with blue curtain and wooden brown wall to wall cabinet i am confuced what colour should i paint my walls with.
