Well its a long story but i'll keep it short and sweet. Basically my friend stole her step dads car, he called the cops. She got caught. I didnt because i dropped myself off at home before they could find us. But she snitched on me and told her step dad i was driving. So he told my mom....Now my mom wont let me drive untill im 18.
What can i do to gain her trust back or change her mind?
i know it was a stupid thing to do so save me the lectures.

Yes I will save you the lecture because you have acknowledged the lack of good judgement. As for your relationship with your mom, I am compelled to know if you want to gain her trust again primarily to change her mind and drive at the legal age, or are you truly concerned for the well being of you and your mom's relationship? If it is the latter, all you can do is show your mother that you are actively working to restore your relationship; when she asks you to be home at a certain time, try to be there at least fifteen minutes early; if she asks you to complete a chore, do it and do it when she asks, if possible. Just show her that you respect her and her authority and that this particular occurance, or anything like it, will never happen again. Now if you are just wanting her to change her mind, then you have a good while to get your mind off of YOUR needs and focus on hers and what she needs you to be. NOt harsj, truly said with kindness. Blessings.....

Your "friend" finked you out just to make sure that you suffer, too? I'd say you need to drop her.

Apologise to your mom and tell her that you allowed yourself to be influenced by someone who turned out to be a rebellious little hoodlum... and you will not have anything further to do with her. Then let it rest.

If your mom needs help with fetching groceries, running errands, or you going to a job after school, she will have to get real. All you can do now is buckle down and prove to her how mature and responsible you are... and stay out of trouble.

You might want to start saving for a scooter with a big enough engine that will get you along the roads in your area. 250cc is pretty good. You will need a cycle safety course and will also need to get the motorcycle license and liability insurance.

If you know it was stupid and you admit you are wrong, than take the punishment as it was given. Sounds reasonable to me.

I would impose the same consequence. If you can't be trusted as a driver, I wouldn't let you drive. So keep that in mind the next time you think about breaking the law.

Let the cops prove who stole the car. Then see what your mother has to say about that.

well... it may be kinda difficult... you could just wait till your 18... i mean... do you REALLY REEEEALLYYY need a car? only time will make her trust you again... and she could have punished you in so other many ways... i think you were lucky n.n she could been like.. could go out till 18... or something like that -.-

I would accept the punishment and be thankful that I'm not in jail!
