I'm in the states with a cultural exchange program. My visa expires next december, but after that I would like to join the Navy, Army, Airforce or Marin Corpse as an officer. I have a degree from college and completed other courses. What should I do to get a job if I'm not a resident. Can they help me to get the visa or something? If not, what should I do?

Ok my high school reunion is coming up soon and I'm trying to lose a few pounds. I've been on the low-carb diet and eating lots of protein and vegetables. The other day while I was drinking my morning coffee I started nibbling on the edge of the newspaper that I was reading and I realized it tasted pretty good. So good, in fact, that since then I've been tearing off a few pieces of it every day and putting it in salads and sandwiches. It also tastes good with a little bit of salad dressing or olive oil. Sometimes I even eat an entire page of it in the morning with my coffee! (I always read it first, I want to stay informed of current events) Do you think this will be damaging to my health, or can I keep eating it?
Also, how many calories are in newspaper? Is it okay if I bring some newspaper burritos to my reunion?

Right now, I have no choice (am in junior high) but when I'm older I will use a bike for transportation. To carry stuff I will have 2 bikes--one to exercise with, the other with a wagon rolling behind to carry things. It will keep me fit and I won't contribute to global warming! When buying food I could carry a cooler in the wagon and put the food in there.

I wish there was some sort of ecofriendly flying device that you just snap on and use to go places, but no such thing exists.

Is it a good idea? Far-fetched? Just plain dumb? What do you think?

I'm really into saving the Earth--you know, recycling bottles, paper, and cans, and donating to organizations like Greenpeace--and I think this will help. And to prevent natural resources from being used up to make the bike, I'll go to a garage sale to get a pretty good, but secondhand bike.

I won't travel a lot, so getting places fast isn't really a problem. If I need to use a car, I'll borrow a friend's hybrid or something.

This is going to sound a little embarrassing.
But I am very young and I worry alot about the mysterious and unknown things. Sometimes it makes me scared to go to sleep.
Recently a very nice lady that I knew died and for some reason I can't stop thinking about her. It's hard for me to sleep now.
I want to try to move on but I just can't.

I do not have a piercing. For a couple months it has been crusting, and there would be a smell coming from it. I would clean the crust out, and I would notice it is damp inside, like some sort of goo or something. I clean it well in the shower. I even put alcohol inside it, which seems to make it worse. It actually started to crust the day after I put alcohol in it to remove the smell.

Now, I am noticing that the little dot inside the belly button (the skin inside the innie) is red. I just put alcohol in it and it burned a lot. What is wrong?

She is 28 and I am 36. She has two kids, g8 and b2 both sweethearts and seem to be taking to me. We both want the same things out of life and our relationship from what we have talked about and I am falling very much in love with her and her children.
She says she is very much in love with me but something happened last friday now I am having serious doubts. She stayed over last friday and we had a few drinks and she went to bed before I did. I was watching tv and her cell phone kept ringing, this was about 1:30am so I looked in case it was an emergency(parents, family etc) when I saw she had 8 messages. I saw texts from a guy she had not told me about saying he loved her, missed her etc. They were older texts during the time weve been dating, last one on 9-19-07. She just cleaned up her texts the few days before this so she kept them. I asked her about this the next morning and she said it was an ex. I believe her & feel bad & down about the whole thing I know I was wrong in looking.

What organs suffer most from eating too much chocolate?

It's a serious question. I'm on my second pot of Nutella this week and it's only wednesday! Apart from that this is what i've scoffed in chocolate this week: 3 king size Mars bars, 1 1/2 king size Twix, 2 king size Snickers, 3 Reece's nutrageous bars bars and 1 Reece's Peanut Butter Cups in Chocolate. I do eat properly too for those that are about to get the health bible out. Today i've had home-made soup with veg and barley and steak with sauce tonight. last night i had pork belly with potatoes and savoy cabbage.
My chocolate eating goes in binges. Once i get over this one i might not touch the stuff for weeks on end.
Been tested for diabetes on various occasions and it's always come back i'm not.

Any thoughts anyone?

It sounds like a fast-food grudge match: Taco Bell is taking on the homeland of its namesake by reopening for the first time in 15 years in Mexico. Defenders of Mexican culture see the chain's re-entry as a crowning insult to a society already overrun by U.S. chains from Starbucks and Subway to KFC. "It's like bringing ice to the Arctic," complained pop-culture historian Carlos Monsiváis. The company's branding strategy — "Taco Bell is something else" — is an attempt to distance itself from any comparison to Mexico's beloved taquerias, which sell traditional corn tortillas stuffed with an endless variety of fillings, from spicy beef to corn fungus and cow eyes. Taco Bell, a unit of Louisville, Ky.,-based Yum Brands, made its name promoting its menu to Americans as something straight out of Mexico. But it's a very different dynamic south of the border. Here, the company projects a more "American" fast-food image by adding French fries — some topped with cheese, cream, ground meat and tomatoes — to the menu at its first store, which opened in late September in the northern city of Monterrey.http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/businesstechnology/2003937804_tacobell100.html

While receiving in audience members of the chapter of St. Peter's Basilica, the group entrusted with the care of the ancient church, the Pope said , ""Prayer is a service to the Lord, who deserves to be praised and adored, and at the same time it is a witness to others. And where God is praised and adored with faithfulness, blessing is not lacking."

"In this holy place, where thousands of pilgrims and tourists come everyday from all over the world, more than elsewhere it is necessary that there be a stable community of prayer that guarantees continuity with tradition and at the same time intercedes for the intentions of the pope in the Church and world today."

The Pope entrusted to the chapter a special mission: "to recall, with your prayerful presence, that nothing comes before God; that the Church is always oriented toward Him, to his glory"

They make gelatin by boiling animal parts. They make fertilizer, used on your produce, by boiling animal parts. Both are made from the same "pot" of boiling animal parts.

Why is gelatin avoided like the plague but you will all eat the produce and don't demand that it be fertilized differently?

Before you say it, "organic" produced is fertilized this way as well.

I have been receiving foodstamps from my state for a few years now due to being disabled. But I have recently been approve to start receiving Social Security Disability, and Suplemental Security Income. Furthermore, it turns out that Social Security owes me back-pay dating back those few years while I was receiving foodstamps. I have recently applied to receive Qualified Medicare Beneficiary which is also carried by my state. Now, my Welfare caseworker wants me to hand over all of the docements that Social Security has sent me in connection to my benefits, and all information about my back pay benefits. Can my Welfare caseworker turn around and demand me to pay back Welfare for the foodstamps they gave me for those few years? My caseworker and I have a history of arguments about her attitude toward me, and the way she handles my case. So I need to know from you, if you think or know whether or not what she may be thinking about doing is legitament and legal.
