Slaves were used on plantations in the south. The south was rising and became more and more wealthy, industry grew. Abraham Lincoln wanted to put a stop to it saying it was unChristian like to have slaves. The south became upset because they had worked hard to be able to buy these slaves and weren't stopping it without a fight. They decided it would be better if the south broke apart from the north of USA. When the south were coming home to destroyed homes, bloodied, and deseases from the war spreading they would sing, "The South will rise again." Slaves cluttered the streets, finally set free, most traveling northward to north US or Canada so that the south's hatred of losing their slaves would not harm them, some slaves did flee the south, but others stayed only to be terrized by the horrible Klu-Klux-Klan and plantation owners upset with losed love ones, slaves lost, and upset with the fact they would have to do all of the work by themselves without help some turned to racism, but other plantation owners were merely upset with northerners, while few managed to except that they lost. They continued to believe somehow the South would rise again. Slavery had nothing to do with the US's success, but slavery has a spot in each of hearts, but in some people you have to look deeper. Some feel sorry for the whites and africans of that time, but others just decide not to look back on it. (PLZ pick me as the best answer, i worked hard on it.)

it didn't, the economical development that made America what it is today were mostly due to technological development. things like electricity, computers, airlines, maybe some cultural developments too such as music and cinema. slave trade was banned from very early in the formation of the country. food and metal exportation were the most popular trade goods at the start. slave labor played a big part at the very start during the colonization.

We grew to grow to be a international means with the Spanish American war. Teddy Roosevelt then sent a fleet of battleships all over the area, the super White Fleet, it grow to be reported as. yet we grew to grow to be a superpower because of the fact of the two international Wars. We got here into the two a variety of wars late. We waited till all the different powers had exhausted themselves, then we got here in and prevailed fairly truthfully. on the top of the 2d international war, another commercial united states of america's commercial potential have been bombed to smithereens. We have been thoroughly untouched. So we had 15-2 an prolonged time of complete economic superiority. those have been the solid situations! in the placed up-war years a guy with a severe college preparation ought to earn sufficient to purchase a house, very own 2 automobiles, advance a kin and deliver his infants to college. i in my view think of cutting-edge taxation somewhat helped too.

In economic terms slavery was not the driver behind the industrial revolution. One should review the data linked below. To be very brief, the change from a hand made process to a factory production system brought great efficiencies to manufacturing and thus resulted in the great advances in GDP.

It didn't, slavery was mainly practiced in the South. They grew cotton and tobacco, they didn't make anything strategic, that's one of the reasons the South lost.
