Ok my high school reunion is coming up soon and I'm trying to lose a few pounds. I've been on the low-carb diet and eating lots of protein and vegetables. The other day while I was drinking my morning coffee I started nibbling on the edge of the newspaper that I was reading and I realized it tasted pretty good. So good, in fact, that since then I've been tearing off a few pieces of it every day and putting it in salads and sandwiches. It also tastes good with a little bit of salad dressing or olive oil. Sometimes I even eat an entire page of it in the morning with my coffee! (I always read it first, I want to stay informed of current events) Do you think this will be damaging to my health, or can I keep eating it?
Also, how many calories are in newspaper? Is it okay if I bring some newspaper burritos to my reunion?

I don't think it is unusual at all. What would be unusual is if you didn't read it first. I have found that the colored ads have a distinct flavor, that cannot really be explained, but it is REALLY good. Especially the Sunday comics. The flavor is something somewhat tart, with a hint of sweetness, and causes fits of laughter at weird times. This is why I always eat it right before I need to go talk to someone I don't want to talk to. It allows me to have an excuse to leave. :)
