I do not have a piercing. For a couple months it has been crusting, and there would be a smell coming from it. I would clean the crust out, and I would notice it is damp inside, like some sort of goo or something. I clean it well in the shower. I even put alcohol inside it, which seems to make it worse. It actually started to crust the day after I put alcohol in it to remove the smell.
Now, I am noticing that the little dot inside the belly button (the skin inside the innie) is red. I just put alcohol in it and it burned a lot. What is wrong?

I'm guessing you might have a fungal infection in there, similar to athlete's foot or a yeast infection. Why don't you go to a dermatologist and see what the doctor recommends?

uh, stop putting alcohol in it! just let it be. there is nothing wrong.
