personally i guess Japan is one due to its economic power, its past history as a great power in military, its culture is stable and unique, it only lacks behind in natural resources and a bit in politics. France is a great power too because it is one of the UN permanent member and it got aircraft carrier and it got history as a great power and a culture. on the other hand, what's so good about australia? apart from being new, big and have resources, australia doesn't have a culture, does have much history, a small army and navy, economy is not as sound as france and japan that they are usually more advanced in technology and even in industry such as making products out of resources instead of diggin and selling resources like australia. australia can only be a middle power to my thoughts, if it's small and not an island, it will be worse than vietnam.

I am thinking if buying a 2008 Saab 9-3 Aero S. Does anyone think that this is a good idea. If yes, why...if no, why? If you own one, I'd be elated to know your experience so far owning this car. I need to name the 2 male kittens I found according to the vet so I can keep getting the rescue organization rate. Until yesterday..I thought one was a girl! I like human names and I would prefer they end in "y" or "ie". So far I think I like the name Jessie for one of them....but I need a name for his brother. They are pretty much solid smokey grey in color with medium length fur.

I went into a pub last night for the first time since the smoking ban and I find it hard to believe.A few months ago the place was packed with a lot of noise and a really good atmosphere. Last night all there was were 2 or 3 half of lager know it alls putting the world tp rights and a couple of birds looking like they wished they were a zillion miles away.The smell of perfume and aftershave along with garlic and bodysweat made my stomach heave so I had the quickest drink inthe history of the world and shot of but not before the landlord ask me if I knew of anyone who wanted to buy the place. If that is the sort of envirement the non smokers want then god bless them cos they have certainly got it in spades. Give me the fag smell, Let me go back to putting the hankerchief on my shoulder to stop the lipstick and let me go home with a load on. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?

When I had my lil one on July 25, 07. I signed a paper to receive the social security number in the hospital and it said 6-8 wks. She is now 2 months and 3 days and still havent recevied it? What do I do? Fill for a new one? Call and complain? Everyone has asked for it and I can't really do anything until I recieve it...How much longer should I wait? We use to run a restaurant in Long Island,NY. We saw a business opportunity in his area of Turkey(big tourism boom in the last 5 years kdue to windsurf becomming popular ) . We built a small hotel which took forever due to a very laid back attitude about eficency.Now it's opened and with the Summer season over we are very slow. I am sitting here bored, fustrated and scared. I can't leave because all my financial holdings are buried here. My husband is Turkish,after returning here 3 years ago has reversed back to local attitude and customs & forgotten his 13 years of aggressive life style in New York.I am very confused about what to do. If anyone has any suggestions on how to cope with this type of lifestyle please help.

Do you think it was a wise decision to send so many fire personnel up the twin towers on September 11th 2001.

A colleague of mine, who is in the UK fire service, said that a initial scouting/recon should of been carried first out by smaller (and minimal) groups of fire fighters, with other stations (USA: ladders) on the ground awaiting instructions, and this back-up should not have consisted of such a plethora of personnel, as seen on the day in question situation.

What is your opinion?

My cat came up behind my neck and put his paw on me, all of a sudden I felt this intensepain in my back shooting down my spine and when I went to touch my neck I felt that same pain in my hand. Now I have a huge welt on my neck and on my hand with a red mark in the middle and such throbbing intense pain. I thought the cat scratched me, but I think I muct have had an insect on me and he went to get it and then whatever it was bit me. I have never ben bit by anything before and I am wondering if I should just try and out cream on it myself or go to the dr. My hand is in terrible pain and my neck is as well.
Isn't this weird. There is no sign of any bug anywhere in the house.

My nephew is turning 3 this weekend so I need a birthday present
I don't want to be boring and give him clothes or stuff for his room but he has so much toys! I just don't want to give something that he already has.

Any ideas? What does 3 year old boys like, but not usually have? I will just go there and give him the gift, so I won't have time to bring him somewhere or arrange a fun event.
What's popular now in US? It will probably come to Europe soon so he can be a bit ahead.

Up to around US$20 would be good...
