To gain control over your shyness...and this is going to sound funny. When you go out, say to yourself, "I'm going to deliberately be shy." This gives you control over it...and ultimately makes you open up.

Focus on others rather than worrying what others will think of you if you speak up. What's the worse that can happen, anyway? Start by joining in a conversation with a brief, relevant remark or give a short answer to a question in class. Join a club or a team where everyone will be talking about current activities. Soon you'll find that people will listen to you and value what you have to say. Lol.

The only way to become more at ease around others and become more confident is to practice! You have to place yourself in situations that make you feel nervous and shy. For example you could join apublic speaking course or an a group adventure club or you could try out speed dating if you are single... see the trend? You will feel scared at first of being thrown into a social situation, but eventually you will become desensitised to these feelings and become less shy!

Get out of your cocoon.
Face people and look them in the eyes.
Even if you opt 4 desperate measure like taking several pints of liquor you still gon run away from pple in the morning.Associate with pple, make friends. You can even invite your friends over for parties N tell them to bring over their friends then you can all be friends.
Its not that hard

all you have to do is to step up and be brave. Being shy won't help you! Try to talk to new people and try to be comfortable around them.
