I need some help figuring out what I need to buy in order to record a simple tv show that is on when I am at work. In light of the future conversion to digital (Jan. 2009), I obviously can no longer use a simple VCR. Here is what I have: a 24 inch RCA SDTV set with regular indoor rabbit ears antenna. I live in an apartment so outdoor antennas are not allowed. My budget does not allow me to subscribe to any kind of cable tv right now. What equipment do I need to buy to record my one little show? I have visited numerous websites about this but cannot make heads/tails out of any of it. I do not want to go to any stores until I know exactly what I need. Those salespeople will no doubt try to push me to buy stuff I don't need. I just want to record my one little show on my one little tv. How can I do this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank God for the Internet. I can at least watch the shows I am missing until I get my tv situation figured out. Thanks to all!

Everytime somebody disagrees with Bush or America's foreign policy they are quick to label that person anti-American and pro-terrorist.

Let me ask you this cons:

Supposedly the government can't do anything right, so why is it you seem to believe our government's foreign policy is always right?

This past weekend I was pasing a toll and I was looking for $1 in quarters and there just happened to be a stack of quarters in the cup holder that were all stuck togather. So i gave him a stack glued togather by soda syrup... was i wrong? I thot it was a hoot... i hop i don't get a ticket for not paying the toll.. lmao

I have a sony vaio VGN-FS395VP from 2005 and it seems to be locked or something. When i press the on button, it turns on, you can hear it work, but the screen stays black and there is no sound, which is an indication that it is not the screen that is dead, but something else... I would say it is somehow locked. CAN YOU TELL ME HOW DO I UNLOCK IT, OR IF IT IS IN SOME OTHER WAY BROKEN, WHAT DO I DO... THANX

Cot, bouncer, pushchair, sling, car seat, sit-in toys, pushchair, highchair, etc

It's becoming apparent that I don't have many places to 'put' my ten month old. She spends her whole day either in the sling or on the floor, or in her highchair to eat.

Where do your babies spend their time and how does it divide up? My daughter spends about 4-5 hours an average day in the sling, 3-4 on the floor, a couple of hours in the high chair and the rest in her cot asleep.

Anyone have the same situation? Where do you 'put' your babies?

My doctor placed me on a permanent partial disability with work restrictions. According to these work restrictions, my former employer does not have any work for me. If I go work somewhere else making less money, then does worker's comp continue to make up the difference of the loss in pay that I was receiving at my former job? This really sucks because the job I might end up with might not have medical benefits, but I definitely don't want the cut in pay! I didn't ask for this injury!!!

I just feel so... and none of you know how much anger and pain can possess... my soul.... Sometimes I wish someone would just kill me... but I think it could make thigs only worse... What if after I learned so much death is just dimension door for me... track with no hope leading me not to death end but to new beggining... If I was angry at myself and simply cried out "F***!" why does that offend people. Do the sound waves compress the air in just the right fashion to hurt ones ear? Do some of those offended ever wish they weren't offended so they wouldn't have to suffer?

I am planning a cruise with my daughter, who will be 13 at the time of travel. I saw a nice 4 day cruise from New Orleans port to one destination at Cozumel Mexico. Then back to the port. This will be my first time on a cruise and out of the states.

I am leaning toward Carnival b/c of the teenager activities and price. However I am nervous doing this myself. I called Carnival's 800 #, but the CSR wasn't help either. He was trying to sell this and that, but he wasn't answering my questions.

Like if I go to Mexico will I have to get different money? Do I need a passport, is my room the anchor or stern...etc. I felt like I was getting on his nerves.

Do you recommend I use a travel agent, or do they try to sell you everything also. In addition, what questions do you recommend I ask and what should I say no to...thanks

So about 6-7 weeks ago Me and my boyfriend were messing around. I think some pre-*** touched on or near my labia. I was scared that I could have been pregnant. I have had two periods sinse the incident. Both were ON TIME and the flow was DARK and HEAVY. Lasted 6 Days. I haven't had many symptoms besides veins more visible on my chest. And some stomach pains here and there. Do you think I am pregnant? I have been putting off a test because Im so worried It could be possitive..
