She does well in school, keeps up with her chores, doesn't even ask to go out with her friends, and is a good kid all around. But the tounge ring is out of her character, to me. She had it for a week and a half before I confronted her. We don't really talk anymore and I think she feels that I don't care about what she has to say. I made her take it out, and she still acts like she did from before.

A female relative in her mid 60s, whom I have always liked, is developing a strange psychological state that has the people who care about her deeply concerned. She has started cutting people off, cutting them out of her life. She is threatening to divorce her husband of many years and to pack and move to another state. What this strikes me as, is delayed, very delayed "middle aged crazy". But I could suspect brain tumor or evolving schizophrenia or any of a number of other things from the choices she has been making recently, and her behavior. She tends to be paranoid and is certain those who don't agree, and who can't actively "side" with her against her "enemies" mean her harm.

She will never see a professional unless her family commits her, or unless she goes to the family doctor and he can sense something amiss, or unless she goes to the hospital for a mental collapse or heart attack or something of that sort.

Has anyone faced anything like this in their family?

My boyfriend is in the Air Force, we have been together for about a year and a half. My boyfriend has had a medical restriction for the past couple of years due to testicular cancer so he has not been able to be deployed outside of the United States. He feels this is limiting his opportunities and is working on getting the restriction removed. When/if he does get stationed at an overseas base, I am worried about being able to find a job. By then we will be married, I currently work in ATM/Debit card processing and have had experience in various career fields and am working on getting my degree. According to my boyfriend, a lot of military wives have a difficult time finding a job overseas. I am not the type to not work, how difficult is it to find a job as a civilian overseas?

I'm searching for a Doctor for my mother who is 50 years of age. What are some areas of specialization that I should look in a doctor for my mother? Is it just a regular family doctor? Primary? I need one that deals with problems w/ aches in particular body parts. I would greatly appreciate your help. Thank you!

this guy im sort of into, we talk all the time, but mostly online. we are really close and know everything about eachother, but there is this whole side of him which he refers to as this 'barrier'.

This stuff he feels he cant talk about. People outside school he will talk about it with, but he feels that he cant trust people in school for some reason.
I dont keep on at him about it, I know that won't help. All I can think to do is just keep being friends with him and being there for him.
He says that maybe eventually I'll take it down brick by brick, but I was wondering if I was going about it right and if theres anything else I can do?

The combined resistance of two resistors R1 and R2 in a parallel circuit is given by the formula Rt=1/1/R1+1/R2. simplify the formula.
Where I have typed R1 and R2 the number is supposed to be little and below the r to the right? Does this make sense? Kind of like how we would write the exponents but down instead of up.

Hi ! I'm a 40 yr-old male - when I was in my early 20's I suffered a bit with cramp attacks in my calves during the night - if anyone has ever experienced this they will know it is very painful - the muscles in your calf screw up into a tight ball and hurt like hell.

I have suddenly started having these attacks once again - sometimes I wak up in bed and get the odd "twinge" in my leg, and I daren't go back to sleep for fear of moving in my sleep and setting if off, thus having to endure more pain.

Sounds crazy but it's bloody awful - so..............before I see my Doctor, does anyone know of any good remedies for cramp....maybe some herbal stuff or something you can buy over the counter without a prescription ?

Thanks !

My partner is the experienced dog owner, I'm new at this with a nine week old pup. I've just spent two days home alone with Humphrey (that's the pup), we went for a walk twice a day and he did any in between business in the garden.
Now I hear from my partner - who's home with him today - that he's already messed the house thrice today, even though my partner is probably far more even keel with him when it comes to discipline than I am.
The pup tends to go a bit bananas during the evening, especially when my man comes home, he messed the house then too.

I realise he's still little and there is probable not too rhyme or reason to him yet but this is noticeable. He has to be home alone for half a day tomorrow - I can't find a pupsitter - and I worry how he might behave, like when he's with me or like when he's with my partner.

If we say we stand for the rule of law, freedom, the first amendment and we also have the best thing going for all in the world then why be afraid to have Mr. Ahmadinejad talk all he wants. If I were a student and had the opportunity to listen to a world leader I would get their early with pad and pencil and prepared questions on issues I disagreed on. You cannot learn hiding in the closet or under your blankets. If we are right we will prevail. Diplomacy works...weren't we preparing to do in the north Koreans not to long ago. Lets talk so that we may walk or all fight, no chicken hawks, no exemptions, no you go and I'll make millions like some are doing now. BS, I have lost enough family members to misguided wars. I spent some of my best years in a God forsaken place serving in the Armed Forces while some people went to school and prospered. I had to start from the bottom, playing catch up and never did. So no, celebrate courage like that of Pres. Lee Bollinger of Columbia.

Yesterday my husband took our dogs for a walk in the local woods. There are huge signs that says 'No Cycling, allowed'. Anyway you can walk right around a huge lake and on the way our dogs were let off their leashes. They are good dogs, friendly with everybody and friendly with dogs that also walk unleashed. My husband was stopped in the path by a jogger who asked him if he could stroke our dogs. Our dogs at the time was lying resting by my hubbies feet. A man and a young girl came past on bicycles [Prohibeted] the man shouted at my hubby told him to get his dogs under control and can't they find a better place to stand and talk. They the cyclist were on mountain bikes and road past on the grass , the man still shouting at my husband who by then had told him the they are not allowed cycling there. Now i have discovered that these people live about 3 houses away from us. What would your reaction have been?.
