I was talking to my mother about her belief in jesus and from what I gathered, the things she reveres most about the icon (i.e. kindness, charity, love for your fellow man, etc.) are all ideal human traits. Is jesus really just a substistute for the good in humanity?

Where did this goofy liberal theology come up that somehow rejects the writings of St Paul as part of the Bible? If you reject the writings of Paul, then you reject the Bible. If you reject the Bible, then where are you getting your information about Christ? You people need to quit reading trashy liberal books that try to rewrite Christianity, and read the Bible through the eyes of faith a little more. This is a great reason why people should not take classes in religion at a mainstream university, because those people have no faith in the word of God.

Institutions of Higher Learning have systematically attacked Christianity and indoctrinated their minds-full-of-mush students into believing this garbage. Most attackers of the Bible come out of a post-christian cultural situation in which blaming Christiasnity for everything is acceptable and politically correct.

Any true Christians out there that see this?

One company may hold shares in another company. If one company wishes to obtain control of another company, it can do so by obtaining more than 50% of the equity shares in that company. When such a group exists the Companies Acts required a set of financial statements prepared in respect of the group as a whole.

In the light of the above statement, what benefits accrue to the investor in a parent undertaking by the use of consolidated financial statements?

I bought some new doorknobs, but realized that the holes in the doorknobs are too small for them (my house is old). I also have a "doorknob kit" for my electric drill, but the hole-cutter it comes with has a drill in the center that just wont work for a door with a hole already in it.

Is there a special tool for this? I don't want to have to resort to nailing a piece of wood to the door. I don't have time to repaint!

Thanks for any help?

He's five months old, and I am at a loss as to break him of the habit... if I lock him out of the room where the litter is, then the cat is either locked in or out. It's so gross and I'm so sick of cleaning up the litter he digs up... any ideas?

I have always liked cats, and dogs. I have liked some pets more than others. I get tired of that stupid bumper sticker that says "Lost your cat? Check under my tires." Not funny. When I was young, my mom watched some stupid "redneck" in a big truck swerve into our front yard to purposely run down my pet Siamese cat, George. When people laugh about that kind of thing, especially with cats, it really gets me steamed.

I think it's stupid for us the taxpayer to pay for a new stadium whenever a team whines about wanting a new one. If the team ownership want it so bad let them pay for it. I think it's very unfair when the owners expect the public to bail them out. Many of these regular taxpayers won't even be able t afford to go to these stadiums when they are finally made. At least i give Steinbrener credit for that. The Yankees are footing the majority of the bill for the new stadium.

One day you are telling someone that they mean everything to you and you are sorry you put them through so much and that you have been selfish in an effort of trying to protect your feelings and you want to be better and are going to be better about it. You are tired of the constant worrying and little fights over the last week. So you go out with someone act distant and moody and it causes more anxiety and another bickering session comes from that so you don't call or show up to something the next day that you promised you would. You don't even call to say you are not coming. You leave a bunch of people hanging. What are you trying to prove by all this?

In case you were wondering - we never fought until the last week or so - so this has been a change in events...

Do you attend church regularly (meaning, you go unless you have to work, are sick, out of town...not something like oversleeping or wanting to sleep in)?

If you don't go, just out of curiosity, why not? You don't have to say if you'd rather not.

The extent of my dependence on Answers became glaringly obvious yesterday when I visited my local convenience store. When the lady behind the counter asked "what can I do for you?" I suddenly froze, not knowing what decision to make. After staring at her blankly for a minute, I screamed hysterically and then scampered home to log on to Answers. Unfortunately, the internet was down so there was nothing left to do but crawl under the coffee table and cry myself to sleep. Does anyone know any good rehabilitation programs for Answers addicts? I just want to smile again. Please help me smile.

I have been working at the same co. for about a year now, my job is to learn all the depts. so if someone calls in sick or vacation I can replace them temporarly. I am now in a new dept. ( again ) and found out that a co worker is spredding rumors about, like wrecking machines, making bad parts so on and forth. I had talked to him about it, and yet he dinies it. I know for a fact that he is doing it because of others telling me this info. I would feel like a "rat" if I went to the boss about this. Any other ideas ?????? I dont want to "get even" with him and jepordise my job.

Considering that there are 6.7 billion people on the planet, we can't exactly come and say that the human species is threatened of extinction. The total population increase by approximately 3 per second.

As the number grows, so does the amount of pollution. The higher the amount of pollution, the closer we get to a global catastrophe, which would affect all of the humans.

Why is suicide considered wrong, when suicide would not only being an advantage to the future of the human species, but also an advantage for the survival of nature?

I know that some have trouble touching this issue, but it needs to be adressed and discussed sooner or later.

My bf and I had sex lastnight...and this morning I woke up not feeling very well...(not morning sickness, I know, too soon)
So I had to use the bathroom, twice and I noticed that I am bleeding. It's bright pink but it's just spotty. Not heavy or anything.
Also, I just ended my period this weekend.
Could it just be reminence of my period? Or could it be implantation bleeding after just one night?
