you should call your vet. If she is not eating or drinking anything, it is possible that she swallowed the rawhide whole and it is obstructing her stomach or intestines. It is not advisable to leave any dog with chewy things unattended.

There may still be a big piece of rawhide in him. With him throwing up like that, he needs to see a vet. Rawhide is ok for some dogs, but if you have a dog that eats it too fast and swallows pieces--you should not give that dog rawhide again. Also, depending where the rawhide was made, it may have been treated with chemicals that are harmful to the dog.

Rawhides can cause diarrhoea. They are also very dangerous and it is unwise to leave any dog with one if you are not around to supervise them. Dogs have been known to choke on rawhides. They get down to the last couple of inches and tend to swallow them and then they can get lodged in their throats. I stopped giving my dogs rawhides years ago for this reason as I was forever sticking my hand down their throats trying to dislodge lumps of rawhide.
I think a visit to the Vet might be in order just in case there is an obstruction in the lower intestines.
You must try and get some water into her. This will help soften whatever it is that is causing the blockage and you don't want to let her become dehydrated.. A good way to get water into a dog who won't drink is to use a turkey baster and fill it with water and squirt it down her throat. Failing that you can use a syringe.
Don't worry that she is not eating, she probably feels queasy and will want to get rid of whatever is causing the diarrhoea before she eats her meals. I would starve her for 24 hours then just give her three small meals of either chicken or fish with rice for a day or so then re-introduce her normal food.
Do see the Vet if you are worried.

With what you describe it is possible that she has an intestinal blockage. This requires vet care now, not tomorrow or next week.
Rawhide isn't a good choice for a chew toy as it does lead to hundreds of intestinal blockages each year. Some if it also contians nasty chemicals, fermeldahyde (sp) for example.
Alternatives to rawhide include bully sticks, and treat filled kongs.

Yes she can get sick from rawhide if it hasn't been treated properly ( to kill germs) also it can make them sick if there are chemicals on it...alot of the cheap rawhides like from Walmart aren't treated properly and can make animals really sick! I personally wouldn't give your dog rawhide unless it says natural on the package. Or you could get her some marrow bones at your local grocery store. They are big knuckles that have been cut ( or if you ask the butcher) they can be cut. They are very good to give your dog...the marrow is very healthy for them to eat.. and because the bones are raw they will not splinter. Only cooked bones splinter! NEVER give your dog cooked bones, always raw! Even raw chicken bones are safe because a dog can chew them up without them splintering.

My dog loves to chew and has gone through one of those 25-count bags of rawhides from Costco with no problems at all. But if your dog isn't eating or drinking, get her to the doc ASAP because something is wrong somehow.

Rawhide is not good to give your dog if he is a chewer. If he swallows it and it blocks his digestive tract it can lead to serious problems. Stop giving him rawhide and get him a Kong toy. You can stuff them with treats, and it will keep him busy for hours. They are virtually indestructible and a good aid for teething.

Absolutley! If dogs eat raw hides to quickley they can get stuck in their stomach and sometimes have to be surgically removed. It doesn't sound like this is the case though because he is throwing up. What is he throwing up?

Not only can she get sick eating them, she could have a blockage which can be fatal. You said the one given her yesterday was pretty small, that is so dangerous because she could swallow a small one whole and get the blockage. Please consult with your Vet right away!
