I want to be given a chance to earn her trust again. after screwing up. i admitted it right away but she's very leery.

I don't blame her. We get more chances than we deserve in this life thanks to compassionate, understanding friends. But you admit you sold her out, though you do not give details. Regardless of whether you are now sorry (and it's a little late if the damage has been done), you have no right to expect her forgiveness. Learn from this and move on.

Unfortunately that is normal! She isn't just going to say "ok, you stabbed me in the back yesterday. I'll give you another chance to screw me over today." You have to gain her trust and respect back and it might take a very long time or it may never happen. If she is important to you you will do whatever it takes. I am quite curious why you would've ratted her out in the first place. What did you gain from your dirty deed? That's not how friends treat each other. Maybe explore that issue and discuss it with her. I dunno!!!

Sorry , but "sold out" is way too vague for a viable response .

Could have been something real & serious that requires more than a cheap apology ,
Or , it could just be clueless girl drama .
