Would congress and the democrats been better served if they tried to create a closer ties to the white house on Iraq while diplomatically pointing out the failed foreign policy, worked on creating a scandal free congress, Campaign finance reform, a balanced budget, and pressure for appropriate diplomacy, and soft issues in war such as better pensions and health care for the troops? I think so
