I'd like to clean the family car. The body wash and interior detailing looks easy enough but would anyone have any tips on how to approach an engine wash? Just a general wash to make the engine look spiffy new.

add: Something I heard from our local mechanic was that I should not get the alternator wet. This valid?

Back in 1988 on up to 1992 I was on probation for working while I was on welfare. I had one of those on-call jobs where they called you whenever they needed you for a project and the project would last a couple of weeks then you may not get called again for as long as 1-2 weeks. I only worked with them for 6 months and made only 9 bucks more then then what they call a misdeamenor. So it comes up as felony. When my record is checked it comes up Welfare fraud and felony and even after over 10 years with nothing else on my record, nobody will touch me with a 10 foot pole. Cannot get a decent job, I have a degree and can't do nothing with it...cannot move into a decent apartment. Just wondering how anybody in my similar position is surviving. Getting tired of getting run out of jobs or turned away all the time.

I really don't feel the need to be closer to other people, thats how i always existed: alone. People cant just understand that some people are able to live alone by themselves without interaction with other human beings, maybe they are affraid of such people or envious because they cant stand being lonely. Being alone and bearing with it means somebody is pretty strong to exist by himself.
So the problem is other people and not you, do you agree?

I have a twin sister... (Alaia) and shes profoundly deaf... (I like to talk bout her a lot cos shes my hero!)

We just went to the store and while there she wanted to buy a drink...She picked it up, went up to the pay point and as she can lip read, better than I can talk nearly!! (lol) she looked at the woman (who was like 50..) and waited for her to ask for the money...But instead, this woman just looks at me and says it to me!!

Alaia was so angry, but as she cant speak well enough for people out of the family to understand, she just slammed her hand on the counter and the woman serving just said...Oh no shes angry, poor her..'

I couldnt beleive her ignorance, yeah, she was very angry, she walked out the store without the drink and now shes upstairs in our room and shes crying and looks so sad, which is awful, cos shes so happy...
Its not the 1st time by a long way, but I think she is just getting really tired of being different in other peoples eyes..
Help me help her!

One day, at a bus stop there was a girl who was wearing a skintight miniskirt. When the bus arrived and it was her turn to get on, she realized that her skirt was so tight she couldn't get her foot high enough to reach to step.
Thinking it would give her enough slack to raise her leg, she reached back and unzipped her skirt a little. She still could not reach the step. Embarrassed, she reached back once again to unzip it a little more. Still, she couldn't reach the step.
So, with her skirt zipper halfway down, she reached back and unzipped her skirt all the way. Thinking that she could get on the step now, she lifted up her leg only to realize that she still couldn't reach the step.
So, seeing how embarrassed the girl was, the man standing behind her put his hands around her waist and lifted her up on to the first step of the bus. The girl turned around furiously and said, "How dare you touch my body that way, I don't even know you!"
Shocked, the man says, "Well, ma'am, after you reached around and unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured that we were friends."

Once again we see the stupidity of Rev Sharpton rushing to the aid of criminals and screaming... RACE!!! Some white kids hung some 6 inch nooses in a tree...they were suspended..of course they were I would have suspened them as well...should they go to prision for LIFE...common sense say's hell no. Then we have a white kid beaten nearly to death by black kids....this is simple folks...can we get REAL...Prosecute them to the fullest EXTENT of the law and as adults. and she is withdrawn, not the same eye contact or kitty stuff, and when i try to pick her up she cries (meaaaww)"i don't like this im sore", she seemd not two want to eat here food or bug me for fresh stuff. then the cries when i try to pick her up. its depressing and im shure its worse for her what can i do im going to the store for kitty hip treats and i dono . slow sore and depresed, her back legs seem more sore, could a build up of brown crud in here ears have anything to do with this? ive 3 different expencive foods in front of here and only eats enuf of 1 not to die. so i put out some camping foam and a towel for her to lie on for now, and she sits there sore and sad, mabe her back might be sore,(sliped disk or something) I heard asprin? how much of what and how could and should i give it to her? any info to help kitty would be sweet. thanks. as the vet is a final option as is the doctor for me. you would not belive what ive fixed without seeing the doc.anyway
