DVD SHRINK HELP : i keep getting this same error. please help. details inside.?

THE ERROR READS:

dvd shrink encountered and error and cannot continue.

Failed to read file "D:\"

Data error (Cyclic redundancy check)


What is this?

Please help.

Step by step instructions would be good please? Im a girl and dont really know much about this kinda stuff =]

normally you can't do nothing..i have had it many times..the data is corrupt!!!

but try this free software ok...fix vts sometimes does it

More often than not these errors are caused by using the wrong Media.
Using cheap incompatible Media will do it a lot.
When I burn DVD's I try to use the top of the line software.
Another thing that can cause your problems is buying a media that is faster than your Optical drive can handle.
Again with the more expensive Media you will see on the packaging that they are compatible with burners that burn at 1X,2X, 4X, 8X, and 16X. I also recommend you use DVD-R Media it is the most widely used and recognised in all Players and Burners, and Computers.
I use Maxell 16X DVD-R in the individual Jewel Cases they are better quality.

If a cyclic redundancy check happens and it fails... the disc is corrupt usually.. try it on another drive too..just to make sure
