More votes are represented by which?

1) $ Large dollar amounts from the wealthy and big business.

2) # Small dollar amounts from many people who can only afford to give a little.

Is there a link to a list showing the number of individual contributors per candidate instead of just the dollars raised per candidate?

this is a great question - I would like to see how many contributors are for the following candidates -giuliani-clinton-obama-romney-thompson-paul -I bet there would definitely be some surprises as to who gets the most "popular" support and who gets the large dollar amounts -
opensecrets.org has a list of individual contributors but I dont think they tally up how many each candidate receives

The person who gets the most votes is the one with the most appealing message. Money and supporters don't always equal a victory. In every election there is a winner and a loser.

Basically its the total dollar amount no matter how its obtained. 100 million dollars is a 100 million dollars

You need the dollars.

However in the case of Ron Paul, it wouldn't matter if his "war chest" was the same as all other candidates combined, he still wouldn't win.
