Carrie Underwood's newest video is getting SIX HOURS of straight airplay on CMT today. It is expected to play 66 times in 6 hours. (Hmmm... 666?)

Is this the incarnation of Hell on Earth? Are these the end times? Will anyone be able to watch her video that many times in a row and not burst into flames?

I do indeed have a problem with Carrie Underwood... but I agree with you in part. Six hours of ANYTHING would be horribly annoying. I think that rap would be just as bad... but there is no station playing ONE rap song for six STRAIGHT hours. There IS a station playing six hours of Ms. Underwood. Six hours of the nasal whining and hypocrisy of Ms. Underwood is my own personal version of Hell. A thumbs up for you anyway, for pointing out the annoyance that is M. Bolton. =)

Do you have a problem with Carrie Underwood?

It could be worse......

It could be 6 hours of rap.....or 6 hours of Michael Bolton

Edit:
I guess CMT was really desperate to fill a time slot or something. I hope they fired the scheduler.

I briefly lived in Charlotte in the early 90s when a new classic rock station took to the air. For their launch, they opted to play Led Zeppelin's "Stairway to Heaven"....NONSTOP, FOR 48 HOURS! Commerical free, only a bumper spot every half hour or so, just that one song over and over and over and...

I love music, but there is no song that I want to listen that much. I've never understood this marketing move.

Yep, it's the end times. Anyone who would sing "Jesus take the Wheel," and then sing "Before He Cheats" is a perfect Laodicean.

Apparently, the meaning of "be angry, but do not sin" has escaped Ms. Underwood. < sarcasm mode >
