Who's gonna b the new Lebanese president?

I went for my first pap smear recently and found it scary and traumatic. I wanted to ask other women if they found it the same. I had a male doctor but there was a nurse present. I had to strip and put on a gown. First I had my breasts checked but then the worst bit! I had to lie down and she put my feet in loops and hooked them up on poles at the end of the bed so my legs were way up in the air and spread. I hated it as I couldnot close my legs and was just left there spread open. The doctor then pushed a metal instrument inside and stretched me open which hurt (I am a virgin). Afterwards he inserted his fingers inside me and also up in my butt. I felt really embarassed and violated as I had my legs spread wide open. Is this normal?

Like, "Can someone please give me a tattoo shop in Philadelphia?"

[I just said Philly cuz that's where I live.]

Chances are, there's never anyone on from there and I laugh because those questions never get answered.
Why don't they just ask their friends, drive around to the shops and look at the artists' work, something other than asking us.

my husband and i are currently working on our garden..and we decided to make it more fun for our cats and dog by adding animal friendly plants. We are gonna get some catnip and catmint. I told my neighbour yesterday and she said i was weird and over the top and that the cats would be spoiled! surely its better they enjoy and stay in our safe garden than go wandering around the roads?

I have heard certain practices eg wearing of hijab by Muslim women described as "not religious but cultural" and wondered whether this is a valid contrast as sociologists understand culture
Of course I don't question that they are distinct things

We can go back to Munich if you like or even further to see that what has happened in the past effects what is going on today .

Why do we act as if we were all just hanging out on 9-11 as the best friend of everyone in the world and suddenly for no reason at all a bunch of Saudi Arabians went nuts and attacked us .

Here is the plan Romney signed: http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/health/2005-07-04-health-insurance-usat_x.htm
and some more details:
http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2007/08/romney-vision-f.html

and here is the Clinton plan: http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/09/17/health.care/index.html?eref=rss_topstories
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/09/17/AR2007091700118.html

The same? No, but some substantial similarities. Isn't it politically risky for Romney to in effect attack his own plan?

I joked about a man cheating on his wife a couple of days ago on here, and apparently it didn't make anybody too happy, as a few emails suggested... Any way, what are some other things that one should never joke about...?

Everytime a driver blows an engine he gets more camera time. Look how many times you saw the name Budweiser because of a blown engine.

You know the person jumps in front of you when you have been waiting and a sign falls on their head or something cool like that. Or someone runs a redlight driving like a maniac and their engine would blow up!

Personally I don't understand how anyone has a right to tell other people how they should live unless they are something like a drug addict and trying to help the person overcome their addiction. I am a straight married woman with 2 kids. So because I chose a differnt lifestyle than a gay/lesbian marraige, does that make it right for me or anyone to dictate to gay/lesbian people how they should run their lives? To define what marraige constitutes? NO! They have a right to marry just as anyone would and to those people that say "Well if we allow this, we might as well allow people to marry their pets" I got one thing to say to that! Open your freaking brain a little and use some common sense! What do you all think?
