Seriously, how hard is it to maintain your car? And why do people assume that if something is wrong with it, and they haven't maintained it, something horrible must've gone wrong? I don't understand this line of thinking...

I want to hear from someone who has been there and seen first hand, not someone's interpetatation of what they've heard, but a real factual first hand knowledgable answer.

So, what is roughly the same size as a mid-sized earthworm (3-4 inches), but is darker (brown) and slightly flattened with a small 'flare' at one end (mouth?) and possibly some dark streaks on it's body, moves slowly, leaves a slug-like slime trail. Was curled up when I found it, but moving.
It is obviously not a slug, yet it seems more closely related to a slug than an earthworm, and it was definitely NOT something I want to run across on my dining room carpet ever again. :)

The origin of Christmas is Jesus being born and His followers wanting to celebrate that. Christmas was not a pagan holiday as some of you seem to think. It was decided to place it on the same day as a pagan holiday, but it is not and never was a pagan holiday. Its another example of Christians taking something bad and making it glorify God, just like with the Cross. To say you don't celebrate Christmas because of the date it falls on is ridiculous. To say you celebrate Christmas because you get gifts is also ridiculous!

To be on time to work or be dressed properly?
I just got in my car and noticed a big rip in my pants and my sack is visible. Do I go back in the house and change or risk the hostile environment? Am I liable? Is "I didn't know they were hanging out?" a defense? Or will I be asked the question, "couldn't you feel a breeze?"

Today, I saw on an older car "HONK -- If You See Parts Fall Off."

“For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:18-19 RSV) Clearly the Old Testament is to be abided by until the end of human existence itself. None other then Jesus said so.

"It is easier for Heaven and Earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the letter of the law to become invalid." (Luke 16:17 NAB) Very clear... the OT will be binding FOREVER.

Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark.7:9-13 "Whoever curses father or mother shall die" (Mark 7:10)

“...the scripture cannot be broken.” --Jesus Christ, John 10:35

I'm nervous about putting on my dress on the wedding day. I've always put on the shoes, crinoline, bra first and then had the dress put on over my head. I'm having my hair and make-up done before I get in my dress on the wedding day. One friend suggested that I step into the dress and then put the crinoline on after. Any suggestions?

I went in to their office and I have to do this everyday because the fax is in there I said "helloooo" in a friendly tone and one of them just mimicked my voice and even though I felt belittled I just smiled at him but what can I say or what attitude should I habe towards this type of behaviour. I work in an environment where everyone mocks each other. I have no intention of leaving because i find the work really interesting but i need tips to survive that environment so any advice is more than welcomed!
