At a jewelry store, Big John bought an expensive locket as a present for his girlfriend. "Don't you want her name engraved upon it?" asked the jeweler. Big John thought for a moment, and then, ever the pragmatic, steadfastly replied,

"No, just engrave it: To My One And Only Love. That way, if we break up and she throws it back to me in anger, I can use it again."

A friend and I had a falling out a few months ago. She has made it clear she wants no more contact with me or she will file charges. How do I deal with this hostility? I don't have to work with her, but it hurts that she feels this way. How do I cope? It's difficult when someone you used to be close with wants nothing to do with you. I'm hoping she will come around, but the outlook does not look well at the moment. We used to tell each other everything so this is really hard for me.

I went to a recruiters office yesterday for the first time and did not tell him about my marijuana use about a week ago. I am enlising in the reserves and still have to take my physical and asvab very soon. If my drug test comes up positive for marijuana, am i finished? or is there a possibility of a waiver? I fully realize that it was a terrible decision and one of which i will never do again.
Thank you all in advance.

When ever my husband and I argue, I can never just let it go. I will usually hold a grudge and give him an attitude for a few days, then I get over it. I know that it is a problem I have. I have tried not to do it, and when I am angry, I tell myself that I just need to get over it. However, then I think about whatever the situation is, and it makes me angry and I just can't get over it so quickly. Any ideas on how I can help myself not be so angry all the time. He is really good and just letting things go, so that helps. I really do try, but it doesn't work.

It's my 25th birthday and tonight I'll be hitting the town with my friends to celebrate. I am debating between a black and white geometric print, empire-waist, knee-length dress with cap-sleeves and probably a little black cardigan OR a satiny red v-neck, babydoll tank top with tiny white polka dots and jeans.

What are your thoughts?

I mean really really happy.
About 80% of married people I know are miserable-all they do is talk about how much they wish they weren't married and how they can't stand their husband. I am not talking about little fights and things that make them mad-that of course is natural in any relationship.
Is this usual?

I am not convinced that president Bush is even aware that he knows what the ramifications are before he "Decides" what the entire country wants, nor do I think that he is aware of the real damage he is doing to this country.

He has been ignoring the wishes of the American people to live in peacefull harmony with the rest of the world by continuing to wage his "War on Terror" using a "conspiracy theory" that he was told after the fact and has been encouraged, by "trusted friends", to continue for their own political agenda.

The brainwashed fool was placed into his position by a US Supreme Court 5-4 vote in the 2000 presidential election voter fraud.

His history of substance abuse is well known, and therefore has provided opportunities for "trusted friends" to manipulate him for their own gains.

Perhaps he should be made to take a mental health examination in by qualified independant panel of Pyschiatrists similar to the required annual physical health examinations.

They don't want this good feeling story to be tarnished so they are making 1 million excuses for Rick Ankiel. Meanwhile when it wasn't proven that Bonds did it almost everyone bashed him even though he didn't fail a MLB steroid test. I'm not saying Bonds didn't do it but i do see the obvious doublestandard of him being found guilty by the media & many fans while looking the other way or making excuses all of a sudden for Rick Ankiel. Many of these same fans who bashed Bonds for months are now all of a sudden defending Rick Ankiel. Obvious hypocrisy & doublestandard? Looks that way to me.

I live in NC and we will be moving soon. There was never any signed agreement, as we are renting the home from a couple. Even when I ASKED for a lease, their response is "Why do you need one?" Today I was speaking with one of the owners and I offered to help them repaint the home so they could sell it. (The previous tenants painted the walls weird colors, plus they have just gotten dirty over time). I explained that is the only wear and tear we have made on the house and we want to make sure we get our security deposit back. She basically said "No, I don't need your help. That's what the security deposit was for, to cover painting and things like that". Now, that infuriated me because when we first moved in, I had to clean the whole house because the previous tenant "had back problems" and couldn't do it herself. PLUS, we have had roof leaks that they won't fix and we have never had smoke detectors in our house. We feel that they are just trying to con us out of our money.

I know this guy who works at my kids' day care and he is FINE! I want to email him on myspace since I wouldn't do it at the day care in front of the kids. I don't want a relationship, but I've had a crush on him for over a year. I can't resist, is this okay and would a guy that young be interested in an older woman?
