Does the Smith(assuming the smiths are of european decent) feel comfortable naming their kid Ashanti (african) or the rodriguez family(latino) feel comfortable naming their kid Seoung Li (asian) i dont have kids but i always wondered if parents with a child on the way consider the ethic orgin of the name they choose or do they just choose a name they like. im not talking about John Smith naming his daughter laquetisha shaqueeta or LaTasha Jenkins naming her daughter Suzie Lynn, thats NOT what i am talking about . im talking about lets say the Smith family was planning on naming their son John Micheal Smith, jr, but instead name their son Juan Miguel (which is john michael in spanish) Smith. Would that be ok to you? (in case you are wondering i dont care what your name name is name your kid whatever you want becuase their name should not dictate the life they live.... just a question i was wondering......................

I made him leave last night, he will NOT hit me again! I need to ask for allimony(sp?) too because I cant pay all the bills by myself. I really am not as upset as I thought I would be about the situation. I guess after 2 years of hell...you really dont care anymore. I work 3 jobs and struggle to do what I can but I do a pretty good job! Anyway I guess I just need some advice and some one to tell me it will be ok! I know life will go on...but sometimes it doesnt feel that way. I will hold my head high and carry myself like I always have! I can tell you one thing though, I WILL SURVIVE! lol. thanks in advance!

Hi everyone,

I am greatly thinking about moving to Texas within a year or so. Can you guys help me out with giving me some ideas on some great cities to live in? I can afford rent under $800 and I prefer a gated community. I am single, young, fashionable, and a finance professional. I like diversity and great atmosphere. Any suggestions?

We have so many different kinds of mooncake sold in Hong Kong - chocolates, ice-cream, ... but I like the traditional Cantonese ones - lotus seed paste with 2 eggyolks in 1 cake, I do not eat the yolk,I only eat the lotus seed paste, lol, I give the yolk to my dad! I also like the Chiu Chow style mooncake - crispy ones! What do you think about ice-cream mooncake? (I'm not so fond of ice-cream mooncake because I can't serve it with a cup of good Chinese tea!)

Here is the deal - just moved into a new house. The front was sodded, the back ended up being full of weeds and we are starting over. We bought RoundUp and killed all the weeds and grass. Everything. We plan on breaking up all the dirt and removing the old weeds and grass (is that right?). We are then renting an aerator and using a 3 blend of seed (as advised by the guy at the store) and a fertilizer. He said there is no need for straw. Then we are going to water frequently in small time frames and then infrequently in longer times frames once the grass gets growing.

For those of you who have done this, does that sound right? I am trying to figure it out by what I have read online and what I have been told at the store. Who knew growing grass could be so detailed/confusing!

Also, is it too early to plant the seed? (Like Septmeber 15th or 22nd.)

Many people describe symptoms of mental illness as sins. How can we go to hell for chemical imbalances in the brain? It's not our fault we were born like this. I'm pretty sure the man up above won't strike a blind or deaf person to hell.

I live in a large city where the homeless population is as large as the small town I moved here from. It breaks my heart to see them on the street. I've made care packages with food, snacks and cigarettes (yeah I know, but I understand that addiction) but I know that's not enough. Where do you start to help these people who don't know how to help themselves? I'm looking forward to all feedback and opinions.

If you are positive person, usually happy, upbeat and outgoing, always looking for the good in a situation.... how do you keep yourself that way? I'm struggling to be more positive and stop complaining. I find myself contantly complaining. I know part of it is my personality but part of it can be controlled. I want to have a positive outlook and not open my mouth at every little thing there is to complain about.

Any tips and advice I would appreciate!

Ancient Greek culture spread throughout the South Asian, North African and European worlds, and is, arguably, the basis of all western society that followed. American culture today is all-pervasive. Movies, fashion, business, language and other iconography are all throughout the world.

Any views?
