So im 20, pregnant and live with my parents... And my dad tells my mom and i last night that he doesnt think he loves her anymore. And he jsut wants to get out.. .He wont leave us until we are financially stable. And till i have the baby. And he said we can sell the house and take all the money. that he just wants to take his harley and go..... WTF .. my mother and i are soo shocked. and i dont know what to do

I joined the company in March 2007 and the company has the policy of doing a salary review for everyone in September 2007 and prorating the increase for new hires based on number of months they have worked before September.

My manager informed me that I was able to get a 4% increase. However, since I have been in the company only for 6 months, the % will be prorated and I will be getting a 2% increase. The next review will be in September 2008.

Though initially this logic made complete sense, on 2nd thoughts, I feel that it's flawed. Why am I being offered only 2% raise for the next 1 year even though my annual increase should be 4%.

Any thoughts on this?

Does anyone else think its funny/ridiculous during the air hostess demonstrations that they say in case the plane lands on water the seat can be used as a float. Who has ever heard of a commercial jet land successfully on water. Please someone explain if its possible to do this and why the gov allows airlines to give this false sense of security.

I've been dreading this for months now, but its finally time for my fiance and I to create a registry. People have been asking us incessantly where we are registered, and I just can't put it off anymore. I'm really thankful that our guests want to be so generous, but the thought of registering makes me nervous. Its such a touchy subject and can easily be taken too far or abused by so many people and I really don't want to be one of them. There are specific things we need for our home like dishes (a lot of ours broke when we moved) and new linens and towels. All of our kitchen stuff is hand-me-down as well and a lot of it is well overdue to be replaced. I'm worried though, about registering for things we think we need, but don't actually need. Since we're both just starting out and stuff, we aren't really sure how to approach this. I'm not a greedy person, and I don't want to overdo it just to fill up spots on the registry. As a guest, what turns you off about a registry? Cont. below..

Two weeks ago I started a new diet and exercise program, first couple of days I felt great and I was even finding that I was able to get up in the morning with greater ease and energy. But now it's like my body isn't getting enough rest. It doesn't matter if I'm going to bed at 930 or 1 in the morning when 730 rolls around I can't seem to wake up. The diet plan was very healthy I started eating fruits and vegetables as well as staying away from complex carbs and starchs. So it's not like I'm missing important aspects of nurtrition. What can I do to make it easier to get up in the morning. and please don't tell me to keep a glass of water next to my bed and splash my face.

I was employed as an operational manager and have had no one 2 ones or appraisals. i have been working for the company for 5 months. No notice or warning. Can they do this?
The only reason they gave me is that i did not have enough business knowledge. No job description was signed.

My husband is a huge sports fanatic. He plays basketball a few times a week. When he is not playing, he is always watching a game or just sports center. He will watch a game, basketball, football, baseball and/or UFC, and then he HAS to watch the high lights of the game he just watched. How can I get it through to him that this is affecting our relationship. Our nights consist of me in 1 room and he in another. I have tried talking to him hundreds of times. He will do good for a couple weeks, then we are having the same argument. I try to get involved and will watch sometimes, ask questions, or just do anything to get him to pay attention to me instead of the TV all the time. It just gets old after a while.

I have seen it given as good as it gets on here
I have seen Christians bag Muslims and Vice versa
I have only been attacked for my Belief ( Atheist ) Once by a Muslim.... And I gave it right back.

You Christians say Muslims preach hate....... From what I see here it's the other way around.

I realize I have made a stereotypical comment but from what I read.......This seems to be the case.

this has been going on since we got the cat over a year ago,he also pees and poops in my house very often and im ready to snap,my daughter still loves her cat and my boyfriend refuses to get rid of the cat because "hes part of the family"(lol) im currently 14 weeks pregnant with my second child and i dont think this cat is going to treat the new baby any better then he treats my other child..what should i do? it seems i have no say what so ever
