Your complex analysis of the economy is impressive. Perhaps you should be a Republican economic advisor.

Sway, this current employment report has a lot to do with the beginning of the new school year. Many of the summer jobs have ended and are being reported as unemployed workers. Further, college students who sometimes have strange schedules are not always able to continue in their jobs because of their education.
I think that if we go back through say the last 20 years, you will see that August and September will generally have higher unemployment stats then most of the of the rest of the year.
Don' t worry and don't let others tell you different. Libs are going to jump all over this. It has traditionally been a big liberal/democrat propaganda tool during election times.

Getting fired may not mean much if you work at McDonald's, but if you've worked hard to climb ladders and develop something in your career, getting laid off is pretty devastating.
People do get fired every day. But some days, weeks, months, years, comparatively fewer people get laid off. Then, under bad policy, there are days, weeks, months, years that comparatively many people get laid off. And that's not good. Obviously.

Firings very rarely have anything to do with politicians.
Layoffs do-I really hate when people use the terms interchangably.
Poor gov't policy has made outsourcing easier/cheaper than training Americans for the same job. I live in a city that is laden with call centers. We used to have tons of stuff here, especially many technical positions that paid pretty good money. Thanks to the new ease of outsourcing (not just Bush, that goes back much further, he's just made it even easier and not bothered to address the problem) we've lost almost all our high tech positions. At this point collections is difficult to do overseas (since you have to give your real name instead of making one up), so that is pretty much the only job left in this town. Yes though-I do blame the gov't for that, since he's the current person to do nothing and allow our economy to go the way its going that means I blame Bush.

"You get a job, you get laid opff, you get another job. Its not like you cant get another job."
Really?
Wal-Mart here recently had 65 job openings, 850 people showed up.
Yeah, it's a piece of cake finding another job.
It should matter. To everyone.

I was just reading an article about Costco and how well they treat their employees.
It said, "Wall Street Analysts think $18 per hour for their employees is too generous."
I think $14 per hour for Wall Street Analysts is too generous.
Look at all the money "Wall Street Analysts" have *lost* for people.
They should be working at Starbucks with all the other people with "degrees."
"Hey you, with the master's degree, two lattes no sugar!"

Admit you are unmotivated, uneducated, and your poor performance got you fired from the one place in your area that employs people with extremely limited skill-sets or...
Call Bush an economy wrecking do-do head...
Please, that choice is obvious.

People get hired and fired every day, yes. But not in the large numbers as in August. When that many lose their jobs it is more than a perfomance issue or a small company closing because it couldn't make it. I'll bet if we had a Democratic president and this happened you would be one of the first to post how horrible the president is doing because of the job losses. Hypocracy rears its ugly little head.

I know of a guy here that was written up several times this year and was finally fired for sexual harassment charges but I'm sure if the ACLU heard of it they'd make it Bush's fault and Honeywell's fault because he's Mexican.
