She has no intention of bringing home the troops. From her first two terms of office (in the White House), she knows that to say so would be political suicide, even for her.

She may give lip service, (her current strategy for every important issue), to bringing them back, but she knew more about National Security during her time in the White House than any former First Lady ever should. She knows that the US will be in Iraq for years to come, if only as a small maintaining force.

BTW: Heaven help us if that woman ever gets back into the Oval Office.

It doesn't matter what she says. If Hillary Rodham gets elected, she will use the troops as a political football and bring them back before the 2012 elections to ensure a second term.

On another matter, Rodham really seems to describe Hillary.

If she decides to completely cut off all funding she won't have to worry about bringing any of them back.

Here's a sad stat most people JUST DON'T GET.

To withdraw our troops means they still have to decommission all their vehicles and equipment. As told to me by a returning soldier 3 years ago... They have to dis-assemble every piece of equipment, clean it from all debris, bugs, etc., pack it up, and sent it all back.

When a division clears out it takes them several months to do this... So cutting the funds today (per se) means they become stranded tomorrow.

She has actually flipflopped again. She is now saying that the troops need to stay until the Iraqi government can protect its people. Go figure.

The other day on David Letterman she indicated that she would START to bring the troops back now.....when would all the troops get back? I think she would be committed to keeping some troops there for stability purposes.
