A friend and I had a falling out a few months ago. She has made it clear she wants no more contact with me or she will file charges. How do I deal with this hostility? I don't have to work with her, but it hurts that she feels this way. How do I cope? It's difficult when someone you used to be close with wants nothing to do with you. I'm hoping she will come around, but the outlook does not look well at the moment. We used to tell each other everything so this is really hard for me.

It can be difficult when friendships end for whatever reason, but you have to realise if this person doesn't want you in their life, you won't be convincing them to change their mind by pestering them.
This person has made it clear to stay away, except this and try to move on. You will meet other people who you can share confidences with. Look at this a chapter in your life closed and lesson learnt.

My best friend of 16yrs had big spat about a 1yr and half ago and honestly I miss her like hell and I will even more now. Because she is about to get married and leave the country. Honestly, time and patience is all that you can use now because anger feels like betrayal to them and that takes time to settle before they realize that all those hurtful words cost them the most beautiful friendship that they had...

hey mate i'm going thru the same thing, my best mate was also my ex and we had a huge falling out and she'll never spk to me again, has threatened me with the police and has has her current gf threaten to hang me off a building... sometimes mate we just have to take a few deep breaths and get on with our lives cos no matter what there's always other people out there who will love and like us for who we are.... i know it hurts now and will for a long long time so try to find things to distract yourself, make new friends and let your old one see you're carrying on with life.

Don't be sad, maybe you'll meet someone else who's a better friend and who'll be loyal till the end. Bad things happen, but better things come up in life!! Cheer up, maybe she'll change her mind about you when she realizes what's important to her.

like all relationships, be it b/gfriend or mates it hurts when its over. But move on and make some new mates who appreciate you. She sounds very immature about the situation so who needs her!?

sounds like she means it the only thing you can do is to do what she wants ....so get on with your life if you see her in the street act as though you dont know her ...you never know she might regret it sooner or later

accept your friend's decision, and respect it, go on with your life, if and when she feels like you do hopefully she'll come around, if not detach and live your life.
