I doubt it. The sound quality of a tape is much inferior to a CD or even a vinyl record. The only reason why tapes were invented is because they were much durable and portable than vinyl records.

Also, it's much cheaper now to make a CD than to make a cassette. Just try opening a tape and seeing how many parts are inside.

Why on earth would they do that? Certainly no band would ever do that by choice - cassettes have terrible audio quality, and no redeeming features. The ONLY thing they had going for them at the time was that they were portable, unlike LPs. CDs are infinately better, and are even cheaper - plus cassettes are obsolete, not many people have cassette players any more, and they're not manufactured. I don't see any reasons why ANY serious band would ever release anything on tape - let alone solely on tape.

i don't think so. i actually heard a rumor that there would be no more manufactorning of cassette tapes, and pennies!

it's kinda sad, actually. i like cassette tapes (sometimes).
