I lost the man I loved suddenly and unexpectedly in January 2007. My heart is breaking and I feel so sad and lonely without him. I just don't know how to cope with all the mixed emotions I am going through. I seem to have good and bad days, and the bad days, like today, are unbearable. My family are supporting me, but they just don't know what to say to me to make things better.

Can anyone suggest anything to help me get through this?

I have 2004 Honda CR-V(LX) 4 wheel drive with 90,000 miles.
Lately, I've noticed some dragging when I turn the wheel or back up the car while turning the wheel. It happens in low speed.
Similar symptom happens when I apply brake on about 40 mph.
My mechanic told me it's warped brake and needed to replace 2 front rotors, 2 rear rotors and new pads since he could not cut the rotors.(I've never had brake done and It has about 90,000 miles on it)
Can I have a second opinion ? I'd appreciate your advice.

I live in a not-too-great neighborhood in South Milwaukee, Wisconsin. My taxes for 2006 were $2,400 based on a $100,000 assessed value. (I paid $150K for the house in 2005). I had my upstairs remodeled and, like an idiot, I did things the legal way and pulled permits. When the work was completed I got a notice from the city that said, "We notice you recently pulled a building permit. We're now going to stop by and reassess the value of your property so we can make sure you're paying as much in taxes as is humany possible." After their re-evaluation my property value went from $100K to $183K so my taxes will be up to about $4,400.

Don't get me wrong. I understand that someone has to pay for the services the city provides but I'm not prepared for my taxes to almost double within a one-year period. Is my house more likely to catch on fire or be burglarized after the remodeling? So why should my taxes go up so much? Is there anything I can do?

im supposed to be moving to alabama in the spring , my hubby want to be near his mom who is in remission she is 56 yrs old his family is so excited we are moving, and my mom is 72 yrs old and was just diagnosed with early alzheimers disease, and i dont want to leave my mom, i need to take care of her and my hubby says i have other siblings to care for her, she needs us around her before she gets worse and i dont want to come back and visit and she doesnt know who i am , what do i do ? i told his family about my mom, and they show no concern for me or my mom, they just keep asking when are we moving there, i feel my mom's condition is a bit more important than my hubbys mom her disease is progressive, and i dont want to disapoint my hubby, he is looking foward to moving and i cant leave my mom..

Our favorite Mexican restaurant -- which is not a chain, by the way -- has one fault, if it is indeed a fault: Their refried beans are very thin and soupy in consistency. As an ala carte side, they have to be brought in a small bowl. When you order a bean burrito, it comes as a huge platter of soupy beans -- almost like gravy in viscosity -- with a pathetic collapsed flour tortilla in the middle of the plate.

We haven't complained, and probably won't, because we do not know how "authentic" to the cuisine this may in fact be. But we have to wonder if they are just practicing the expedient of keeping the beans extra wet so they won't dry out on a hotline.

In any event, I would like to know what the "proper" consistency and thickness of good and authentic Mexican refried beans should be.

i'm with the new guy now, but i cant stop thinking about my old bf of 3 years, that i broke up with a month ago and we had a big fight and stopped talking a week ago.
the things i'm confused about: why cant i stop thinking of my old bf? is it because i love him as a bf or is it just because it's been a week i didn't talk to him and i'm missing him alot since we've been friends before being gf/bf?
whats the deal with the new guy? the physical relation is so hot i cant stop it, is it going to fade away after a while? its been a month so far. i enjoy it more than my old bf but i'm afraid it's only physical. but i also think i like the way he treats me, or maybe i like the way they both treat me, i dont know which one i like more :S how would i know???
