Huge Hawkeye fan here.... Season ticket holder and will be at the season opener at Soldier Field for sure. The home schedule is pretty week this year, and not having OSU or MI hurts the overall schedule too. On the bright side, it is still the Big 10 and we have a promising young QB. "In heaven there is no beer, that's why we drink it here. And when we're gone from here, all our friends will be drinking all our beer..... Go Hawks!!!!!!"

I went to the University of Minnesota so I'm, gulp, a Gophers fan. I'm cautiously optimistic that Tim Brewster will continue working the Gophers toward being more competitive, but it's going to take a couple years. I don't like the schedule - too many cupcake nonconference games. That won't prepare the team for Big 10 games against real teams.
I'll probably go to a couple games this year and then get season tickets next year to get on the priority list for the new stadium opening in 2009.
While a student I made the drive down to Iowa City for the Hawkeyes game a few times - the Hawks crushed us each time, but you've got a really nice stadium facility. I've had a lot of fun down there.
Interesting question.

I'm a Nebraska Cornhusker guy and I would like to go to their game against Ball State because I think that game won't be on TV. Plus, I think it has the cheapest tickets. I think the Huskers have the hardest schedual in the nation. Even the "tune up" games aren't just a walk in the park. Non-conference games include Nevada and Ball State, which aren't easy games. They also include a visit to Wake Forest who has a great season last year. And, of course, the Huskers host the number 1 team in the country in USC. As if that weren't enough, they have to play their big 12 games which aren't ever easy no matter how bad or how good their opponents are doing that year. This includes good teams like Missouri, TEXAS, Oklahoma State, and a possible Big 12 Championship game. I like the schedual and I hope they can get as many wins as they can out of it, because if they do good enough, this hard schedual will give them major BCS points.

I have been an LSU season ticket holder since 72 and I usually attend one or two out of town games. Love SEC football and the schedule is always tough. LSU has to play Auburn, Bama and Florida every year then you add a Tennessee, Georgia or SC and it's one hell of a schedule. This year we also play Virginia Tech. However, the schedule this year is not as tough as last year. Last year we played 5 away games against Top 10 opponents.

LSU , Ill be overseas the whole season. I remember the Hawkeyes game . I like the way you put it about our fans although every team has a few knucklehead fans I would rather see good sportsmanship among all fans, some act as if they are playing for life or death.

WVU is my team,,,, not gonna go to any games,,, too far away,, live in small town usa,,,, and our schedule is getting better,, Auburn is next year,,, so we are making changes slowly, just cant flip a switch and make a magical schedule change,,,,,, so its a work in progress,,,,,, but do think that WVU will win the Big East and be tough this year,,, White and Slaton are very tough, and Devine will be awesome in a limited role that will expand as he grows with the offense just as White and Slaton did

GEAUX TIGERS!!!!! I'm a big fan of LSU and I think their schedule looks pretty good this year. We play Miss. State first on like a Thurs. night. We're in an awesome Conference with awesome teams, so we're gonna play some pretty cool teams this year. I am definitely looking forward to playing Alabama, where Nick Saban went. I'm pretty mad for him coming back to the NCAA, but I'm real mad at him going to Alabama. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!

I root for Rutgers but I live near Charlottesville so I root for UVA as well and have season tickets for them. I hope to make it up to a rutgers game this year. UVA and Rutgers both have very favorable schedules. UVA doesn't play Clemson, Boston College, or FSU. Rutgers only has 4 road game and only L'ville is good on the road.
